The lockdown feature it really weak. It does ok in relatively calm water but you have to constantly wrestle with it if it’s a windy day, which obviously, is when you need it most

Nice design , fit in a tight location

Sturdy built but the insert didn't hold up.
The metal portion is nice. The bushing is not held in well at all. Was anchored up last trip and the top bushing and lock just popped out. It was not locked down ,I had the anchor rod set and let it glide freely but still popped out. Now have to figure out how to glue it or take it out and not be able to lock a pole in the up position. Needs better adhesive or different insert design

I installed this while I was rebuilding the transom. It's very well made and keeps a low profile.

Well made and easy to install. Added mid grade adhesive /sealant to plate to insure water tight barrier.
