All others got few channels. This one gets them all!. A great product!
I am updating my review of the AT-403B antenna. I mounted it outside atop a 50ft pole and it works EXCELLENT! About an hour after I got it mounted before I could get guy wires on it, the wind turned it from pointing east to pointing south but the omni-directional capability was not affected at all. I had to mount it high to get it above the tree canopy and I receive all channels within a 60 mile radius with no pixelation at all. I couldn't be happier. I hope this quality made antennae will last for many years since pulling it down to replace it would be very difficult. It appears quality built and I recommend it highly. The best antennae you can get. My favorite channel is PBS and it is about 100 degrees in a different direction from most of the others and no antennae has been able to receive them all. But this Antop does the job. If you need an antennae for indoor use and you're within 30 miles of the broadcast towers get this antennae. If you are within 60 miles of the towers and can mount it outside, get this antennae. Don't waste your money on anything else. GET THIS ANTENNAE!!

Mixed feelings about this.
I Live in a fairly rural area. The channels I get through a Southwest window here in Muskegon, are clear sometimes and totally unavailable other times of the day.I I live on the third floor of my building which is the top floor across from an empty lot there is a fairly clear view down the street for about a mile before there are trees and yet still my reception changes from time Of day, and also from day to day. I find I must frequently re-scan in order to find which channels I can watch whenever I do sit down to watch TV, and even those that the antenna initially fines do not always come in consistently. Even so, this is better than I got with a flat antenna in my window. I suspect if I could Mount this outdoors, I may be able to get a little better reception but I’m not sure as in my building I do not have the option

Great antenna for indoor or outdoor use!
This antenna gave the owner an option to install it inside or outside the house. I chose the inside to see how it works first, before paying to have a it installed on the roof outside. The results were great, as I would expect 30 miles from the TV towers. I was able to avoid a rooftop installation. Even in bad weather, it has held most stations. I have owned it for two weeks, and still have to experience snowy weather. Some stations faded in cloudy weather (again 30 miles away) while others 30 miles in the opposite direction were fine. It really depends on weather and other signal interference. The one which faded had a strength of 48 out of 100, and started to fade when the signal strength dropped below 40. The strong stations started at 60 out of 100, and dropped to 50 in cloudy weather. Since these stronger stations were above 40, they had no issues at all.Another reason I paid for this premium antenna was its look. It looks good, and does not require hanging on the wall. It sits in the back of my family room, without drawing attention.> Updated after one month, 9/23I got tired of trying to tune-in stations in which dropped below 40 out of 100 strength. The cloud cover wasn't even bad when they faded out, so I knew the antenna should move outside. I bought a 10 foot aluminum post from Home Depot and a couple bots to hang it. Its performance dramatically improved.- Hanging it 7 feet off the ground, the signal strength jumped to 70-72.- Hanging it 9 feet off the ground, the signal strength further improved to 80-85. The post is 3 feet away from the house. As mentioned before, I have TV stations 30 miles away in two different directions (20 degrees and 190 degrees). I now receive 40 stations, including the four major networks, PBS, and independent networks. The weakest is 52% and strongest 80% signal strength. There is a tree in its line of sight, which I feel is slightly impacting the numbers given.I could not be happier with the antenna's performance. The stronger signal means the channels can change faster on the TV. There is less lag as it tries to receive the signal.

Well worth the investment
I tried the smaller flat antennas and they did not work well for me. I put this up the day it arrived and the two channels that I could not get with the flat antennas came in crystal clear. The most impressive part is that I have this antenna in a second floor bedroom sitting on a shelf and it works great! I haven't had time to move it to the attic or mount it outside yet. But, if it works this well inside, I am sure it will work even better when I move it higher. I am saving $1200 a year by getting the only channels I watch over the air and what's more, the picture is better than cable for HD programming. It is also worth pointing out that this antenna works well even during a thunderstorm. I experienced less interference than with satellite, but that could be because it is indoors. Either way, I am happy with it.

Amazing! It Exceeded My Expections
I needed a decent antenna for my HDHomeRun tuner. I was able to get 36 OTA channels using the existing apartment building's antenna (the common one found in older home rooftops). I'm less than a mile away from the source of the broadcast tower so I assumed the rooftop antenna picked up everything. The location of the antenna cable in my room wasn't ideal so I decided to give this a try. I was hoping to get 36 channels and I would setting for a little less, but I ended up getting 66 channels. It's sitting on the floor of my bedroom for the test, and I'm getting almost twice the channels. Amazing!!

Works ok, but still needs no blockage of HDTV signals to work.
had used it in house with good results. Then mounted it on an antenna mast above 1st floor of 2 story building and lost some channels.Bottom line, line of sight to your broadcast antennas is needed. This unit won't circumvent that even though it costs a pretty penny.Mount it on the proper side of your house without blockage or prepared to have substandard channel reception.
