Your shop should have this book.
Highly readable when I first encountered it as an undergrad and in spiral bound form - excellently appropriate for use by the scene shop volunteers at my community theater. The updates are economical and precise, and the tips are proven. Having met and worked with Mike and Bill in my youth, it is great to recommend this work in my middle years.

Great examples and pictures!
Great pictures and explanations. Some of the material is a little out dated but the author mentions that in the beginning. I use this as a reference for my high school technical theatre students and is a great reference book. Very clear for them to understand and makes great use of pictures for explanation.

Drawings are hard to read
This book is very informative and helpful. My only wish is that the drawings included had typed notes instead of the handwritten. It’s hard for me to read. Yes, I’m a teacher and should be used to this, but it’s just a personal preference that a book I paid for be easier to read.

Great information with illustrations.
Great information on stage scenery construction. I was able to track my order and received my order on time and would make more purchases on Amazon in the future.

This is a keeper, not a loaner!
Every copy of this book that I have owned over the past three decades has been borrowed and never returned, or just outright stolen from me. It's that useful!

Must have for the shop library.
Can't believe I hadn't bought this before.

Do they have bugs in the presses?
Book is great so far. But just 45 pages in I find this huge smear and stuck pages. A couple pages later another, smaller one is there. This was sold as "new", not used. Content is great, printer not so much.

Five Stars
Just what I needed to help a local high school tech crew build a massive set for their musical.
