I guess it depends...
I have read bad reviews of this product, but how you maintin your pool matters. If you're content to wait until mineral deposits are caked and hard and your white grout turns brown - of course it's not going to work. I descale every summer and Bio-Dex works like a charm! I drain the water below the tile line and apply the solution (I use a spray bottle) on dry tile in 5' sections. I found that the pour nozzle doesn't allow for even coverage. Let it set for a couple minutes (DO NOT LET IT DRY) and I brush with a nylon head on a waterproof electric spin scrubber. Keep the hose handy, you need to rinse off that residue after you scrub it.

Amazing Product
This product worked great for us. We bought this as a last ditch effort to avoid hiring out tile cleaning. It took us about an hour to do our entire pool. We smeared it on fairly thick w a sponge than used a high power hose to rinse it. The worst areas took two passes. I think the mixed reviews are based on the type of tile. We have a white porcelain around most of the pool, which this worked great on. The smaller tiles didnt work as well because quite frankly, this doesnt handle grout that great. We plan to do touch up with muriatic acid on a few spots and the grout but this was very little scrubbing for a 95% improved tile line.

Aids in removing calcium from pool tiles
Used a paint brush to brush the Bio-Dex 300 liquid on the pool tile. The heaviest calcium buildup was in my spa. The liquid works but did not remove everything until purchasing an attachment for my drill that could finally remove the calcium buildup.

Terrible!
The only thing this product did is cost me $$ and now more time. I used this to try and remove hard water/calcium buildup in my spa spillway. I had already removed the vast majorly of buildup by scraping off but wanted to get the remaining residue off so I purchase this product. Followed directions- applied with sponge, let it soak for Al several minutes and the. Sprayed off with fresh water. It didn’t remove any of the residue but turned my brown colored group white!!! No I’m having to scrub grout with pumice stone and just applied a REAL tile and grout cleaner to fix the mess this stuff caused. What a crappy product!

Amazing
Was hesitant at first buying as I saw ad on YouTube. Happy I bought anyways. Put on couple of coats, brushed and used hose to rinse off. It absolutely looks awesome now. First photo is before , second is after using.
