The anchor is fine. The metal work is awful. The welds are terrible. It’s in the water so who cares as long as it does its job.

Paid a Premium for this anchor and was expecting it to look and feel good. Unfortunately the brand new (?) anchor condition was very rough/scuffed and it had many pricking barbs on its handling edges.I decided to file of the barbs and rough edges to avoid getting cuts from future use. The welds on the anchor look like something done in a barn or a garage.

The anchor is functional but welding slag and finish of the galvanized was a lot rougher than I expected as I am usually throwing it with bare hands

I got this to use on my 1984 Chris Craft 251 Catalina, the boat is 25'6" and has a 9'6" beam. It does the job. Like the slip ring that you tie your rope unto, makes anchor retrieval easy.

Switched to this anchor from. Grappling style one. This digs in great and holds the boat with no problems. A little hard to pull up at times, but worth the effort to not worry about drifting.

Scary cheap looking. Poor quality welds and thin galv coating. I’ll give it 6 months in salt water

Very unique in the market. Nice release system. Impressive quality.I love how Five Oceans takes care of every detail, product and packaging.

These anchors don’t set well. You must manually set them in order to use them effectively. I use them to anchor waverunners to the beach. They will hold well if you take the time to force them down into the sand. I don't recommend it if you are looking for a self setting boat anchor. But for utility purposes they are OK.

Very cheaply made. Typical China made product. Loves of sharp leftover from what ever they dip it in. Had to use the angle grinder to smooth it all out and re weld together.
