Just WOW!
Great set of rollers! I ordered these on advise of a friend..Wowza! I’ve never rolled my hair before, but I got a lot of curls and volume, much better than a curling iron. My hair is mid length and naturally wavy. I’ve struggled styling it since it grew out from a shorter style. Once I get faster at rolling it, I’ll prob do it at a much higher frequency. The roller really create a lot of volume. The smaller rollers give more curl, while the larger ones give more volume. They are a game changer! The container is small and compact. Will be easy to travel with. Probably took about10-15 minutes to heat up. I’d strongly recommend if you want bouncy curls and generous volume. Enjoy!

Third time is a charm
This is the third set of electric rollers that I bought in 4 months. I hated the clips on the first set that I bought because they left a crease in my hair. I did not like the second set I bought because they were so hot that I was yanking them out of my hair after putting in the second roller because it was burning my hair. After looking at the reviews for this set, I decided that with the pins instead of clips and the lack of heat reported, perhaps these were what I was looking for. They have performed extremely well for me. Don't get me wrong, I still have to use styling products in my hair to hold the curl for the day. Where I live it is extremely warm and humid and curls will not stay in my hair without a styling product. But with the right product, my hair is full of bouncy curls. Some reviewers noted the difficulty in traveling with these rollers. While I do wish there was something that would "lock" the curlers closed and I wish that there was also a more separated compartment for the pins, I recently took mine on a two-week road trip. The curlers never fell out of the base even when they were turned sideways. It's all in the packing. Yes, the pins went everywhere inside the base, but that could have been resolved if I had taken the time to just put them in a small zippered bag. I put all my other beauty products in zippered bags, so why not the pins for the curlers? As for having difficulty choosing the right pin, I just turned the pins upside-down in their compartment. It's just as easy to lay them out alongside the curlers, too. I thought these were minor difficulties. I bought the curlers to curl my hair without causing burns to my fingers or my scalp and they deliver. To add to another reviewer's bit of advice on securing the pins, I agree that the pins need to go in opposite the direction in which you are curling your hair. For most people, the ends of the pins will point either up or to your face, depending on where the curler is. I also found that if I "aim" for my head, instead of just trying to slide it in, then turn the pin upwards or toward my face when they touch my scalp and I know that they grabbed a bit of hair, that the curlers remain quite secure. I've also tried the Conair clips that are recommended and they are secure as well. I'm quite pleased with this purchase. Added note 7-2-14: Some reviewers said that the red dot heat indicator never turned white as it was supposed to. I always started rolling my hair about 5 minutes after I plugged in the set so the dot never got a chance to turn white. So I decided to test them. After 15 minutes, the dot was completely white and the rollers were actually so hot that I unplugged the set before I used them. Some of these sets just seem to have problems that I have not encountered with mine.

Good quality rollers, but results vary by hair type
These hot rollers are well-made, heat up quickly, and are very easy to use. I appreciated how evenly they warmed and how secure the clips felt while holding them in place. The set also has a nice variety of roller sizes, which gives you some flexibility when styling. That said, while the product worked exactly as described, the end result just wasn’t my personal favorite for my hair type. The curls held, but the finish wasn’t quite the look I was going for. Someone with a different texture or length may get results they love, so it really comes down to personal preference. Overall, I think this is a reliable and well-built tool that does what it promises — it just may not give the exact style everyone wants depending on their hair.

Conair Hot Rollers
These remind me of the hot rollers I had when I was in my twenties. They heat up quickly so be aware of that fact. Also they are very warm to the touch, if you are sensitive to heat you may want to get a pair of heat resistant gloves to wear while using them. Overall I like them.

Mismatched Pins
I really like these rollers and knew I needed two sets, however, they came with the wrong number of medium and small sized pins. One set has a mismatched number of 2 of the half inch pins, and the other has a mismatched of 3 of the same size. I am very disappointed because these rollers are otherwise great.

Does the job
Great item great price. Works well although the pins are bit painful. The manufacturer should include better pins. Heats up in 10 minutes and only needs stay in 10 minutes. Would recommend

Have had this same set for over a decade! Never fails!
If you have thick, long hair then consider buying 2 of these. I've had the original one I purchased in 2006 and it's still going strong! However, whenever I'd grow my hair past my shoulders I would find I needed to use smaller sections of hair, as the rollers can only hold so much weight. So now I decided to purchase a second set off of amazon. Such a great product. The key is to make sure you roll each section in a different direction, and also stagger the sizes throughout your head. (For example: Too many small curlers in the front looks odd when paired with only large curlers in the back.) You have to give them a good 20 minutes to get really hot. Once the rollers are in, I suggest leaving them in your hair for minimum 45 mins-hour. Even if they feel cool to the touch, I find that I have better results when hair is left in the rollers for 1-2 hours. Yes, this requires planning in advance but is necessary. For beginners, once ready to take out, start taking out the bottom rollers in the back of your head. If you take out the ones on top, your hair will be getting in the way as you take the rest out! If you brush your hair after using these, it'll likely be curly but will POOF. If that's your desired look, then go for it. However I find it better to refrain from using combs, brushes, etc and using hands only to style. Immediately once I take rollers out I LIGHTLY spritz with some hairspray. I find the cheaper brands work better (Think: Suave). Again it's just a misting of hairspray, make sure you hold it far away and not too close or you'll get globs of hairspray that weigh the hair down. I find if I do not spray hair right away, the curls don't hold as long. I have also tried lightly misting hairspray while hair is still in the rollers, however I find that it makes the rollers messy (dried hairspray to clean off them!) and also it doesn't evenly mist all the hair (only the sections exposed in the roller get sprayed). So you can try that but be warned you may not get the desired outcome. It is very important to spray your hair once styled and out of the rollers. For whatever reason my hair frizzes BADLY if I forget this important step after using heat rollers. Keep in mind, you may need a curling iron to help tame a few curls that didn't curl perfectly in the rollers. I find these rollers make your hair look so nice whether you're wearing hair down or want some nice curls added to your ponytail. They're a great product and relatively inexpensive. I paid about $20 for the rollers nearly 14 years ago, so I'd say even at Amazon's price all these years later, this is still a great value :)

Works for me (kind of)
These are ok. Because I have short hair, I need the smallest size hot rollers available and these, for the most part, work. I have two complaints: 1) These do not get hot enough. They get warm but they need to be quite a bit hotter to make the curl last more than 5 minutes. Nobody wants “curling iron” type heat in a roller but after these have been heating for over 10 minutes, I can hold a roller tightly in my hand and barely feel any heat. To get them to work I have to use tons of hairspray as I’m applying the roller to my hair and leave them in for, at the VERY least, 30 minutes. Regular hairspray doesn’t work btw- it has to be a freeze type spray which then makes brushing or combing to style a problem since freeze spray is like dried glue. 2) As with all hot rollers the clips are a “J” clip. These things are almost worthless and have not been improved upon in 50 years. I’m 66 and I’ve owned a lot of hot rollers sets over the years & it’s amazing that nothing has been done to improve the way the rollers are held in place. There is however a work-around for the idiotic j clips. Fortunately there are spring loaded claw-clips available on Amazon that keep the rollers secure. Don’t bother buying the cheapest ones since the teeth are thin and snap off. Pay more for the highly rated type (read the reviews) and you can fix the j-clip issue. I have another set of rollers from a different company that do get hot but unfortunately the size prohibits a good wrap (even though the product promised that they work great for short hair.) I did not send these back because I’m desperate enough to keep using them. Side note* I did hair & makeup professionally for magazine photographers and used a lot of hot rollers on models in very unique weather conditions (think Equatorial countries) where the humidity was extreme. I’d have tossed these in a trash can before packing them back in a suitcase to fly them back to the US. If you’re in a humid climate, these will never get hot enough to work the way hot rollers should. I’m in a dry, high-desert and I get them to work. The seller shipped promptly in a typical shipping box. Arrived undamaged.

It makes nice curls
I am glad I was advised by YT vids of the plastic smell on initial use, otherwise I would have been shocked. I am glad of how the curls turned out tho.

perfeito!

Great curlers.
I love that there are so many small curlers which works great for my fine straight hair. Gives me a good curl that lasts.
