It has 2 sided printing but not 2 sided scanning, which is a little awkward. Overall it works pretty great. It survived a lightning strike near the house, though all of the networking gear and this guy's networking port got hosed. Despite the networking port going dead, it still works just fine in WIFI mode. This replaced my refillable ink jet printer, which required maintenance basically every time I used it. This laser printer, on the other hand, is always ready and hasn't needed any manual maintenance at all.

This printer works perfectly. It handles all the copy/scan/print jobs I've thrown at it. No issues like other reviews mentioned. Second laser printer by cannon, first was a monochrome printer, it still works, I have it in my business office, I got this color laser printer to replace the color inkjet that was dieing in my home office. Go cannon!**UPDATE** 11/28/22 The printer is working perfectly, still no problems like the other reviews mention. It's Beginning to make me wonder what those reviewers did wrong in the set up process, but then again I hooked it up via Ethernet and not Wi-Fi, we have been through 3 DSL internet modems since I bought the printer and I have yet to have it ignore input or not be found on the network, the worst thing this has done so far, is it didn't start printing a document for me until I touched the screen and woke it up, and that has only happened once.***UPDATE 7/11/23*** Not a thing wrong with this printer, no printing problems, no network problems, Prints come out looking perfect, picture prints look like real pictures, all the built in functions work perfectly, I still have yet to replace a toner cartage on it, and the original review was done after only one week of owning this. I can't fathom what the other reviewers did wrong, or if they're modem just doesn't like the printer, but please, do yourself a favor, if you need a color laser printer with all in one functionality, get this printer, almost one year old and still perfect. GO CANNON!!!!!!!!

It was easy to set up and works well. No problem using it from any of my devices. Guests who I allow on my network also have no trouble using it. Print quality is good. It is smaller than many other laser printers so it actually fits where I need it be.

I HATE this printer. It was a pain to set up, is a pain to use, and is a pain to maintain.The setup was a pain because the printer would not automatically detect my WiFi network and I had to go through a lengthy and tedious process to manually get the printer online. This process was made worse by the lack of documentation, even online, for setting up the printer and by the tiny touchscreen. I think the touchscreen registered wrong touches more often than it detected where I intended to touch.The printer is literally a pain to use. Specifically, the noise level generated when it prints is literally painful to my ears - I frequently leave the room and close the door behind me to avoid how loud the printer is.Lastly, and probably the most frustrating, the printer is a pain to maintain. One of the main reasons we picked a laser printer is that we print infrequently and the laser toner supposedly lasts longer when not used (i.e., it does not dry out unlike ink in an inkjet printer). In fact, we have plenty of toner left and the print quality is fine - when I can get it to actually print. The printer is constantly alerting that the "toner is low" and "print quality not guaranteed." Sometimes, it lets me bypass this and print anyway, but often I have to turn it off and back again to get the option to print anyway. It's been doing this for months now, but we obviously have ample toner left because it prints just fine (when I can get it to print at all).This printer is a huge pain and I hate it. Would give zero stars, or negative five stars actually, if I could. I wish I'd bought an Epson Eco tank instead. I want to take this printer outside and go "Office Space" on it.

I have this for a while now and it works but lots of room for improvement. Looses connection to wi-fi quite often (and it's not the router)

We needed to replace an aging HP multifunction device. HP now requires online accounts and their whole ecosystem seems unnecessarily intrusive, so I started looking for an alternative. Given that HP uses Canon print engines anyway, I thought that a Canon printer might be the way to go. I picked this one up on sale somewhere in the run-up to Prime Day, and it has worked flawlessly. I could’ve spent a few more dollars for the 1200 dpi version — and maybe I should have — but thus far this has been more than equal to our needs. Setup was easy and I’ve printed wirelessly from a variety of devices. Basically, the thing just works.

Now, I must admit, I got this printer on sale, but at the time it was around the same cost as ink jet printers with the same functionality (and boy I've grown a large distain for ink jet printers). The document feeder, scanner, and overall print quality are very good, and the ease of mobile printing is huge!I haven't had to purchase new toner cartridges yet, still running on the 'trial' ones that come with it, but have been super happy with the purchase, and likely will continue to be moving forward (will update the review if that changes).

Here I am thinking I’m buying a very good printer. What a worthless piece of crap try to print off the computer off the phone off the tablet try to scan nothing seems to work useless worthless piece of crap. Do not buy this please it’s incredible three months ago I bought this crap and now I’m stuck $300 and nothing works, even trying to get support is impossible. Please be aware of purchasing products such as this your only wasting your time do not do not do not buy this please
