This round shape bladder is great
I like the round shape of the bladder. It slip easily into my pack.

Perfect for backpacking!
This water bottle is extremely convenient to use. The size and shape are perfect for backpacking. I love that it holds its shape in pack unlike other water bottles.

One of the best hydration reservoirs. Easy to clean and dry. No leaks.
Awesome. Easy to clean & dry because of huge capped hole. Used it a dozen times over a couple seasons No leaks. Super easy.I added a quick change port high up in the seining hose. I can remove the remainder of the drinking hose and the bitevalve. And swap in the output hose from my river water purifier/filter (I use katadyn gravity befree, but anything will work, eg lifestrawflex). When that quick change valve gives out, it’ll be like $5 to replace it.The 3d shape means I don’t need to use an awkward plastic thing to keep the walls from touching each other while drying out. So easy. And the giant capped port makes drying out faster too.

Plastic taste makes water undrinkable
I was so excited about this hydration pack for the 300 mile through hike that I'm planning in a couple of weeks. The design is fantastic, especially with many nights camping without a water source. I love the shape, that I can just place it near the top of my pack, the spigot seems to work great, the bit valve isn't the highest flow, but seems to be the design of most higher end hydration packs. When I first opened the package, I was overwhelmed by the weird plastic smell of the reservoir. I ended up washing it, soaking it in lemon juice for a couple hours, adding baking soda and soaking more. washing again, and again, and again..... (on a positive note, it is easy to wash, and does hold its shape and dry quickly). The water is undrinkable. It literally makes me gag. I tried to determine if it was the tube, or the reservoir - it is both.I'm not sure why all the good reviews. This tastes absolutely terrible and toxic, and makes me wonder if everyone who tried it and gave it a 5-star review either didn't use it, or had covid and lost their taste/smell. If you're sensitive, this is not the one for you.

Love the design but durability is sub par
I really wanted this reservoir to work but it's not durable enough. I bought one, it busted open. I thought it was a fluke so I returned it and got another. This time it started leaking from a different place. I'm not abusing it, just normal use. I think the plastic they're using is not good. I won't be buying another.

Tube leaks water. Bag is difficult to clean. Doesn't live up to the Gregory name.
I bought the Gregory 3D Hydro Trek 3L because of the good reputation Gregory backpacks have. After a few times using it, I do not recommend this product. The water opening to fill up the bladder is small, which makes cleaning difficult. The worst feature however is the tube leaks when you insert it into the bladder. I used this product at most 5 times. By the fifth outing, the tube didn't seal to the bladder causing water to spill into my backpack. Looking at Amazon's catalog, there are a lot more affordable options available that appear to have better features vis a vis cleaning and preventing leaks. This bladder also does not include a cap for the mouthpiece, so it is difficult to keep that area clean. For the price of $40+, I am disappointed.

Didn’t last long
I used this about 5 times before it stopped working. Now it leaks from the bottom and I can’t use it anymore. Bummer. It didn’t have a plastic taste, which was nice. It was easy to fill. A little difficult to suck the water out but tolerable. Wish it hadn't malfunctioned where the hose connects to the bag.

Leaks after a few trips
Has been only used occasionally on some weekends. I have it for four months. It started leaking from the hose connection. As there are others with similar problems, please look for something more reliable as you don’t want the only source of water to fail on a trail.
