Graham & Brown Superfresco Easy Paintable Pre-Pasted Beadboard Wallpaper

This wallpaper is tedious to use (and really what wallpaper isn’t tedious to install!), but pretty easy to work with once you have a system and looks great once installed. I would recommend using a continuous-spray spray bottle as it evenly distributes the water and allows you to control how much water goes on. I was able to work efficiently this way. The glue is very sticky and paper will be delicate, but I found it forgiving before fully drying if I needed to fix mistakes or hide small rips. Very easy to paint. Now in terms of durability, I wouldn’t use this in a high traffic area as it is easily scratched. Again, it looks great once complete, so totally worth the work!!

This was my first time installing wallpaper. I normally stick to paint for refreshing a room but wanted the look of tall wainscoting as part of an update for a 1970's bathroom. Honestly, the negative reviews on here were a bit scary but after reading the details on the positive ones, I decided to tackle it. First of all, you need to use wallpaper primer on your wall. It states this flat out on the instructions. This is not a peel and stick wall paper. It has a ton of paste on it and, without wallpaper primer, the wet paste will just soak into drywall or matte paint and the entire mess will just fall off. That is not the fault of the paper. I applied a generous layer of Zinsser Shieldz primer (make sure you get the one for porous surfaces) and let it dry. Following what other reviewers said, I cut the paper to size and trimmed out all the wall plates, etc before soaking it. The instructions say to soak the paper for 30 seconds and allow it to sit for 5 before unfolding. I found that at the 5 minute mark the paper was way too fragile, stuck to itself and tore while unfolding. I ended up folding precut pieces accordion style, soaking for about 15 seconds, making sure that the water was evenly soaking into the paste, letting it sit for about a minute before holding it at an angle to let any excess water drip out. It if was a small piece, I also found that wiping off some of the paste before mounting the paper was helpful. After that, line it up to the wall edge, plumb line, whatever you are using as your reference, and smooth it down. There are gobs and gobs of wallpaper paste on this paper. It oozes out everywhere. I found that using my hands to smooth out the paper, especially the side of my palm, worked just fine. A lot of paste came out from the sides, top and bottom and I wiped those up with rags. I also used a seam roller to run down along the wainscoting stripes to get any extra gobs of paste or air bubbles out. Having the wall pre primed allowed me to gently push the paper on the wall to line up with previous wallpaper sheets. Honestly, it looks absolutely wonderful now that it is dry. I have applied one coat of paint and will be applying another. It is still a bit soft like craft foam sheets and will likely dent easily if you whack it with something sharp but then so would drywall. My biggest advice would be to start papering in an out of the way spot like behind the door. Try to cut full length pieces because horizontal joints just pop and are hard to hide. Order a lot more than you think you need and be open to learning the idiosyncrasies of the paper and you will love the end results.

This wallpaper is AMAZING! I had been wanting to do bead board for my kitchen backsplash for over a year, but didn’t have the tools to do the real thing. I saw this textured wallpaper on Instagram and was very intrigued, but also VERY skeptical. I can say with 100% honesty that this wallpaper blew me away. This is the 4th time I have hung wallpaper and it was just as good of quality as magnolia brand from Home Depot if not better. The adhesive was perfect, easy to use, and easy to manipulate after placing. I was even able to press seams down even more after placement and paint by getting finger wet and running it just behind the edges that were still a bit noticeable. Also would recommend for first time users of wallpaper because it was SO easy to work with. 10/10. DO NOT paint with glossy paint, I made this mistake using paint from what I used on our cabinets. It showed the imperfections of the wallpaper too much. I painted over with a satin finish and this was much better and looked more realistic. Painting it was a breeze, needing 2-3 coats of paint. I am love with the look and so happy it was so easy and inexpensive to do. One roll covered my entire kitchen backsplash!

Cute but extremely fragile. My bed post rubbed against it while I was making the bed and it ripped. Easy to use. I used a soaked rag and rubbed it along the back and it was very sticky, but dried quickly. Had to order more for the bedroom, but wouldn't really recommend or use again.

I used this wallpaper on the front of my kitchen cupboards and drawers. It looks amazing! I couldn’t be more pleased. I painted it with Clark Kensington in “Linen” with a satin finish because I wanted it to remain the color it is, and I didn’t want it to be super glossy. Some tips for using this product: Cut your piece a quarter to a half inch longer & wider than is needed to cover. This gives you enough to maneuver into place. Soak your piece in water (bathtub works great) for 30 sec., then lay it flat on a covered surface (paste side up) for 5 min. to allow the paste to cure. Handle the wet wallpaper with care because it does tear easily; just be careful & don’t rush! After piece is applied, let it sit until it is COMPLETELY dry; don’t try to trim it when it’s still wet or it will tear! I let mine sit overnight. Use a sharp razor knife to trim your edges. If you’ve used the blade that’s in your razor knife for awhile, put a new blade in; otherwise your edges will look a little rough, & you want them smooth. It just looks so much better! I covered my cupboards, so I just held the blade flat to the edge of the cupboard and ran it right down the side. (I hope that makes sense!) Then, just for extra protection, I bought a tube of Suregrip Seam and Repair Adhesive for wallpaper and using a small bead on my finer, I ran it along the edges of the cupboards, especially around the corners. Just wipe off the excess with a damp cloth. It dries clear and holds really good. This isn’t necessary, I just wanted that extra assurance! People complaining about the paper tearing too easily didn’t wait for it to FULLY DRY. If you cut wallpaper when it’s wet, it’s going to tear. It’s wet paper!! Anyway, this is the most beautiful wallpaper, I am super impressed with the quality and appearance. Keep in mind that it also shows indents & scratches, so you’ll want to paint it right away to protect it. This product is worth every penny, although it’s very cheaply priced compared to other brands. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat!

I recently used this pre-pasted beadboard wallpaper to update a room, and I’m so happy with the results! Recommendations: * Two person job (application is easier) * Wear disposable gloves & use a clean microfiber towel (wallpaper scuffs & gets dirty easily) * Wallpaper tears easily but is very forgiving to reposition when wet * Use a spray bottle for more control * Use a squeegee or anything w/ a soft edge to create clean & precise creases @ trim. * Allow wallpaper to FULLY dry before trimming excess & use a sharp knife (tried trimming a day later & wallpaper was still tearing) * Wallpaper will look dark, wet, or off but will eventually go away once dried * If leftover residue is on your trim - remove w/ water & a paper towel. Step 1: measure the height you want the wallpaper to be & add a few inches just in case - also, roughly estimate or measure the amount of panels you will need to cover your desired surface Step 2: mark the length on the roll & cut out your first panel - use this panel as a template to mark & cut out your remaining panels Step 3: precut any holes for your light switch &/or outlets. I taped the top of the panel in my desired location w/ painters tape & carefully allowed the switch to rip through the wallpaper then placed the switch cover, traced it out & removed from wall to cut (‼️wallpaper is sensitive so it can tear from the tape ‼️) Step 4: work in sections per panel(don’t just soak the entire wallpaper & place it on the wall) Begin by spraying a generous amount of water from top to bottom (vertically) of one section of your panel & apply that to your wall - GENTLY & CAREFULLY smoothing out any air bubbles w/ a clean microfiber towel - continue that process for all panels. ‼️wallpaper is forgiving when it’s wet if you need to reposition but will tear easily if not careful ‼️ Step 5: once all panels are up - use your microfiber towel to smooth out the air bubbles &/or remove excess amount of glue & allow to dry. Periodically, check on the wallpaper ( 2 or 3 more times in a time span of 20-30mins) & carefully smooth out any new air bubbles that might appear. ‼️once done - don’t touch or overwork the wallpaper & allow it to FULLY dry before trimming excess ‼️

Sembrava troppo bello per essere vero infatti non lo è. Bisogna inumidirla per attivare la colla e stenderla sulla parete. L'applicazione è semplicissima e non fa bolle. Purtroppo però non resta attaccata, ho atteso anche 48h e risultava completamente asciutta, ma non resiste. Reso effettuato.

I did a successful renovation project of my kitchen cupboards using this wallpaper material , I painted the cupboard doors and the overlay wallpaper with white oil paint using electric spray gun , the result was fantastic.
