The Chair to Embarrass Heavy People
I did my research and I am guilty of taking the information as truth. It's a bit clunky looking but functionality was important to me. As a heavy woman, there are things about this chair that did nothing but embarrass me at work. To start, the casters are locking casters...all of them. Ok, I can take that. But, when a heavy woman (me) sits down, it locks the casters and when I scoot my chair forward, there is an awful sound coming from the now locked casters. In other words, the casters lock on their own when said heavy woman sits down. Secondly, when the heavy woman sits down on the chair, the cushion whooshes very loudly, drawing attention and making people smile behind their hand because they had the same thought I did, which was whoopie cushion. In conclusion, I have given this chair away to a coworker who is not heavy and they are quite happy as their sitting down does not trigger the locking casters or the whoopie cushion. This chair might hold my weight and sit comfortably, but it is a source of embarrassment for a person of size who wants to use it in the work place, around people who can hear this chair. No, I did not seek to return this chair because for the reasons I have given, I figured I would likely have to deal with a person who is not heavy and did not want to face further embarrassment explaining why this chair is an affront to heavy people.

Overall a Good Chair
Was so excited to receive this chair! It's very comfortable, and I'm still very glad I purchased it. It doesn't feel like I'm sitting on a pillow or anything, but it's definitely soft enough to sit in for several hours at a time (if you have a bunch of back to back meetings or something). The seat is wide, the armrests are spaced widely enough to be comfortable for me - but I would think you could just not attach them if you needed some more space for your hips/midsection, and keep it as an armless chair. The two things that are not awesome (and why I knocked off a star): 1) The wheels are SO annoying. They all have a little lever to lock them. It is SO EASY to hit that lever while you are sitting in the chair, if you move your feed around or anything, which then locks the wheels. 2) It seems to tilt back kind of easily, which means I can't rest my back and sit fully with my back against the chair without it tilting backwards. I tried the various controls to keep it from tilting, but I can't seem to.All that said, this is still a comfortable chair and I'm glad for the purchase. I may break off the little levers that lock the wheels, and hopefully can find a way to keep it tilting. But even with those things, I am pleased with my purchase.

Good construction - Comfortable
I had to give this 4 stars.Pros: Extremely well made. The all metal construction was a surprise to me. There isn't a bit of plastic on this chair. Rolls very smooth. I know a previous person said that there is a "whoopie cushion" sound but it's just slight air escaping from the seat material. Nothing loud, just a quick "whoosh" of air. It has good back support also.Cons: Not very wide. I'm a larger guy and the while it supports guys of heavy weight (they are not misleading on that as the construction is top notch), the width of the chair is not what I was expecting. I was honestly expecting something a little wider to be honest. It is still comfortable but it squeezes the hips just a tad. The seat size is why I took a star off. It's not an uncomfortable squeeze but you can tell that you are being squeezed.

Heavy duty
I love the leather fabric vs plastic imitation, which inevitably cracks and peels. Very comfortable cushioning and very strongly built. Only one complain - the protective blue film on the chrome casters was darn hard to get off LOL. Well worth the purchase, I assembled it in about 1 hour [ and I am somewhat physically handicapped ]. Instructions are minimal, but clear and not confusing.EDIT: The locking casters are very irritating. I ordered a replacement set, other than that I have no complaints at all about this chair.

Great chair but...
This is a comfortable, affordable and beautiful chair. However the wheel locks are easily engaged and we are constantly having to unlock. We even knocked off the tab to make it harder to accidently engage and are still having trouble. But the chair is certainly worth the money. I'd rather have NO locks than this.

High quality chair
This strong, beautiful chair was delivered with with visible damage to the packing box. The assembly is not difficult, but the chair parts are not light weight. All needed screws are shipped in position and must be removed and replaced as the chair is assembled. One anchor for a screw was damaged when the packing box was damaged during shipment. But the anchor was on the underside of the seat. I was able to access and repair the anchor after making a small cut in the fabric. And the cut was covered by the part of the chair stand that attaches to the bottom of the seat. 3 people use this chair, the heaviest weighing 300 pounds. The chair is very comfortable and very sturdy. The only concern we have is that the wheel locks are easy to engage accidentally.

Best Chair Ever!
Iโve had bad luck w/office chairs but this one is very high quality. I did order upgraded caster wheels for this chair because of previous reviews. With the upgraded wheels, this chair is now the best ever.Easy to assemble & extremely sturdy. ๐๐๐

Heavy duty office chair
The first thing I noticed about this chair is that it came in a well packaged and heavy box. The assembly was straight forward with no problems. One thing that was confusing when putting it together was that the screws were not in a package, but already set in each in each corresponding hole. After that assembly was straightforward and simple. The chair itself is well made and heavy. The undercarriage is twice as heavy as most office chairs and it has a very sturdy feel to it. This is a well-made sturdy comfortable chain, the only thing I am not a fan of is the wheels all have a locking lever and I am constantly having to unlock each wheel for the chair to be able to roll. I will be replacing the wheels, but thatโs a small price to pay for a great chair.
