We have bought a few of these. We like the industrial look, and they are perfect as a stair rail. We have one installed along the stairs in the garage, and we also have one installed on the stairs on the back deck. Please note, when installing outside you will want to use Rustoleum, or these will start showing signs of rust very quickly. And when the temperature drops, they are COLD, so wear your gloves! My next project is replacing our plain white wooden contractor grade railing going up to our loft with a series of these.

This handrailing is nice, but the manufacturer made the threads inconsistent so if you purchase a longer railing (like I did, 10ft), at "tight", the four areas that connect to the wall are in different locations around the railing. This means, some of the sections aren't as tight when placed onto the wall because the section needed turned on the thread to align with the other wall mounts. It's not "unsafe" so to say, but it was definitely a pain to get each section at their tightest and remain able to safely secure the handrailing to the wall.

Sloped at a normal rate, this mounts nicely on a 2x4 16" wall, but you'll need some standard drywall screws and a few long 4" screws in case you need to reach for a stud. Throw away the stuff that came with it. Very sturdy. Get black screws.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I needed to build my daughters a SAFE ladder for their bedrooms in my tiny home. The ladder had to be removable in the event that I move my home and I didn’t want to pay thousands of dollars for a attack ladder (it would have had to be a custom and I didn’t feel like building all that) This library ladder railing/handrail is VERY well made and sturdy! The only thing I would emotive upon is the quality of the screws that came with it. The screws are very low quality so buy some different ones and you’re gonna be golden!
