Star Wars Affirmation Cards

I’ve really enjoyed these cards. They have plenty of good food for thought. And offer some nice reminders on focusing and living a good life. All while showcasing the fun of the Star Wars movies and characters. Definitely recommend.

Generally my husband appreciated these. They were much bigger than we thought they would be.

First of all, quality of the product is 5 Stars. The cards are durable, thick, and well-designed. However, I don't think it was clearly said in the description that there are different types of cards. They have the deck divided into 4 different types of cards: Affirmation (13), Inspiration (13), Activity (13), and Guidance (13). I thought that the whole deck would be Affirmation cards. The affirmation cards that are in there are great. The Inspiration cards are okay. They include a quote from one of the movies and then some words that aren't affirmation, more like a lesson ("you may be destined for great things, but reaching your goals still takes time, hard work, and determination"...things like this). The Activity cards just have suggestions of activities like the name says ("make something new," "tell someone you love them" with some guidance for the activity. I'm not sure what I will use these cards for. Then the last ones, Guidance, are nice, but again, not affirmation statements that you can say to yourself more like reflections and thinking prompts. An example: "The Jedi believe that the Force is all around us. Our beliefs can guide us, but also overwhelmed us. Focus on what you know. Every experience makes you who you are." I really wish they had all been the affirmation style cards but they do have good lessons and reflection topics if that is what you are going for. The pictures the company displays are all of affirmation cards (the green ones), and the one yellow picture is of an inspiration card which is a little misleading...probably why I thought I was getting all cards like affirmation cards. I was glad to see cards from all 9 Skywalker movies and Rogue One. Wish they would have had a few from Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels but realize those maybe aren't as mainstream as the movies. The pictures do line up with each activity, prompt, or affirmation which was nice. They weren't just random pictures. Again, the product is nice, but only half of them I feel like I can use as traditional affirmation statements.

I was looking forward to receiving this as a gift for my partner. I was just disappointed to receive the packaging which looked used, when I specifically ordered new. The outer box has various dirty marks which I will have to clean before wrapping, as it is too close to his birthday to try to get a replacement.
