i just got my new ironing board in and I can see how the whole top of the board is supposed to slide out but it is stuck, any suggestions?

mine did not slide out. mine was folded. Try going in reverse and follow the instructions. The iron metal holder was the only thing that slide to position, after lifting the legs. it is very sturdy. I love mine.

THAT 54" LONG INCLUDES A 6-6 1/2" IRON REST. OUR WIDTH IS ABOUT 15". WE BOUGHT OURS SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND ITS WELL MADE, ON THE HEAVY SIDE BUT VERY STABLE. HAS HAD HEAVY USE WITH 4 ADULT IRONING EVERY OTHER DAY. THEY COULD HAVE MADE IT WIDER SINCE OURS IS OVER 5 YRS OLD.

Does Amazon carry replacement covers for this ironing board?

I haven't looked for them very much but when I did, I didn't find any
