Nice fryer
Easy to use and clean. Keeps heat pretty well through out the frying time. Do not overload with food as it isn't a commercial fryer, but is great for the kitchen as it is smaller, fits on counter and does a good amount at a time for a family. Oil lasts as long as you are careful. Use the right temps for food you are frying and you can enjoy with your oil you like, we use mostly peanut oil.

Very satisfied..... Great product!!!
We bought this product about a week and a half ago. We only received the large basket, not the two smaller ones. Like others have stated the magnetic cord is short but for us we have an accessable outlet on our counter. Once filled with oil you shouldn't be moving the unit around anyway so the magnetic hookup should not be a problem, it wasn't for us. We filled the oil to the max. fill line which took just a little over a gallon. We used Wal-Mart good value vegetable oil, about $2.25 a gallon and it worked perfectly. You don't need to spend a fortune on those specialty oils. It took about 10 minutes to reach max. temp and we were ready. My wife had just got a large amount of fresh oakra. She cut and breaded it and filled the basket full. That was a lot of oakra. It cooked between 15 and 20 minutes and was done. We used the hook and let it drain a minute or so and poured it in a large bowl lined with paper towels. The oakra was done perfectly, all of it. It was crisp and not oily or greasy. To my surprise when finished with the bowl, the paper towels were barely damp with oil. We've since fried shrimp and fish fillets, the same good results. Of course your choice of breading reflects taste. Next up is going to be chicken with a KFC breading mix she got on Facebook. Clean up was a breeze, just washed it and let it dry. Didn't notice any real residue on the counter top, cooked with the lid on of course. We will reuse oil based on product cooked and breading used but as mentioned above, new oil everytime would be reasonable. I know everybody is different but just use commen sense when cooking with very hot oil and safety should not be a problem. This unit is a household item and not built to military standards. It is light weight and easily moved and stored. Saved the packageing initially just in case something was bad but it's been thrown away now. I think this unit will be extremely useful for a lot of people. Very, Very satisfied. Been using this unit for a few months now and still the great results. Just don't over fill the unit. Maximum fill line has been perfect for us!!!

Best deep frier I've used
Temp control lets you set the correct temperature for each food, from barely bubble to smokin' hot. Stainless steel makes for easy cleaning and the lift-out oil reservoir lets you save the oil after cooking your fries and okra. We prepare a lot of fish and chicken and the heating element keeps the oil hot from batch to batch. The deep frier is a good size and I like the way the basket sits in the oil and then can be raised to drain the food. I knocked off one star because this is my second Cuisinart cooker because the heating element failed on the first one after a year. It worked so well that straight away I ordered the same unit again. I hope this isn't an issue with this one. I recommend this product for its ease of use and the superior way it heats the oil. If a year from now this one fails I will probably buy another.

Nothing beats a deep dryer.
We have an air fryer thinking it's a lot healthier, but the deep fryer does such a better job cooking food and the flavor of food is hands down the best.

Good enough.. just don't abuse it.
It's been almost a year since I bought this. It's still works, temperature still in good condition, just make sure to check the temp of oil separately cause it's not reliable. It does get hot over 400 degrees better than not going to high. Temperature still adjustable after being used multiple times, I probably have this over 400 hours of usage. From o to 400degress will probably take 10-15mins. Easy to clean. Very convenient, can be used as commercial.

CDF-200 Won't Heat Past 340F
I found very few reviews for this Cuisinart CDF-200 and bought it mostly on Cuisinart reputation, hopefully my review will prevent others from wasting time/effort/money on this deep fryer. It has what I (I'm a mechanical engineer with a background in data aquisition and controls) consider to be a fundamental design flaw. There are two temperature sensors mounted on the heating element. One that provides closed loop feedback control to regulate temperature and one that provides a hard cutoff if the high-limit temperature is exceeded. The high limit thermostat actually touches the heating element rather than being surrounded by oil which causes it to be hotter than the actual oil. I suspect this was intended to provide a safety shutoff in case the fryer was turned on with no oil, but it causes more problems than it fixes. My unit would heat to about 340F (should go to 375F) and would stop working with no easily visible indicator (power light still on, etc.) and would not reach the set temperature. I finally realized that the small recessed reset button had popped out, and pushing back in would allow the unit to start heating again but not beyond 340F. Overall, the build quality is trash, with lots of sharp edges and very thin sheetmetal, but I've come to accept that all consumer products are built this way and could have looked past it to give it 3-4 stars if the unit actually worked. Even if my unit was faulty (I certainly hope not all of their fryers are bad from the factory) I can point out multiple BAD design decisions. As an engineer, I'm begging consumers not to tolerate this garbage.

Pretty nice deep fryer as advertised
I bought this fryer here on Amazon. There were no reviews on it since it had just been added. I took a chance after looking and reading reviews on all the others. This one had very little description. So, I bought it my second one next to a fry daddy years ago. This one is nice the size is as described. Has a decent viewing window. It comes with the controller and heating element connected one piece, basket with removable and I believe folding handle both pretty stable construction when in use, not flimsy. Has the structure itself and removable oil pan wit a pour slot in one corner and min max line very ledgeable. I used Ibera 80% sunflower oil 20% extra virgin oil heated up in 12 1/2 minutes to 375 and I did check it with a new thermometer. I read many reviews saying there only heated up to 340 or 356 so I am pleased on these results. I put two talapia fillets down in the oil and the unit regained its 375 heat in about 2 minutes. Unsure if that's good or bad but it did come back to 375. Like I said there was not to much info on this deep fryer took a chance and my wife and I are happy we did. One more thing. The plug is magnetic and the magnets are of good strength but I did not have to bump or move the fryer while in use as others on other fryers have said with the problem of the plug disconnecting. I'm sure this deep fryers plug will stand fast. Yes this has a timer up to 30 minutes I believe. I'm to lazy to go look. Anyway I hope this helps. Just to update, used the deep fryer couple times for fries, talapia which the book says on fish 3 to 3 1/2 minutes with the roll of the heat 6 minutes and came out really nice also fried chicken you can get two breast in the basket and the next run two thighs and two legs. I will put a thermometer to it again next time just to see and will update on the heat check to temperature. I really think this is a well made deep fryer. Oh yes the steam ports do not effect grabbing the lid handle so you do not feel the heat.update Have had this a couple months and still holding true after about 15 uses. Ensure you get some cheese cloth and a funnel here on Amazon makes straining a breeze and full clea n up is very simple no headache. I would buy this again.

A nice, big fryer for a family of 4
Similar to a professional fryer that doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Heats up pretty quickly. Tried frying a variety of frozen foods. Everything was cooked perfectly. Almost too good.

Great product with reasonable price
This deep fryer is so far so good. I use it to fry fries for my kids and it always turns out crispy. I had Waring deep fryer for 10 years and it finally broke up on me. I wanted to buy the same thing but it has been discontinued. I decided to give this a try after reading the reviews on it and I am glad I did.
