Q: Does this work just like a fabric marker?

I am not familiar with fabric markers. I use these pens to mark clothes & belongings at a nursing home. It doesn't wash away easily.

Q: Does this marker have a deep smell like the non fabric ones?

No they do not. These markers were perfect and did not smell or bleed.

Q: Do they have this that will show up on black clothes

Use search terms "laundry marker for clothing white". That's how I found this listing, except I substituted black instead of white. The white ones may be a different brand. Check reviews before purchasing if you are not familiar with the brand.

Q: Will these stay on Kevlar without completely washing out?

I am not sure. If the Kevlar is coated in fabric it may stay on.
