The foam is easily trimmed with a sewing scissor that has a 3 to 4 inch blade. The blade length helps in that you do not have to compress the foam as much when cutting it.

Will this pad be too big for a cot?

I've bought two of these, starting in 2015. I use them often on a cot while camping and they work great! I recommend getting the thicc 4" pad, as they do get squished down over time.

Will it fit a twin size mattress?
