LTGEM Case Compatible with Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro/770 Pro Studio Headphone

A well made hard case that fits my Beyerdynamic DT 990 headphones perfectly.

Nothing fancy here, just a simple case for storing and protecting your headphones. I needed a real case, as opposed to the flimsy supplied bag, for my 770 Pro Xs and this case seemed like a decent option. It’s a tad bigger than the case for my 900 Pro Xs, but I wanted a different looking case to easily differentiate between the two. This case has a rugged-ish, hard shell exterior and it seems to provide a good level of protection. It’s not metal hard, but good enough for most scenarios in my life. The inside has a thin layer of soft velvety material that feels pretty good to touch. I would’ve preferred the material to be a bit thicker, but it works. It’s a near perfect fit for my 770 Pro Xs, but could see issues with storing a model with a non-detachable cable. Just something to keep in mind.

Fit my DT 700 Pro X's perfectly, with the coiled cord underneath the headphones. The hard case is a little bulky if you plan to travel with it, but feels premium and protects the headphones very well.

Perfect fit for my Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X headphones. Nice and firm to protect the headphones when I travel. I am very happy with the case and would buy it again and recommend it 100% to anyone that needs a lighter duty case that will fit inside a gig bag.

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro - Perfect Fit Beyerdynamic DT 770 X Limited Edition - Perfect Fit Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X - Perfect Fit Keep in mind all these headphones have removable wires so all I had to do was make sure the wires were arranged appropriately inside (in a coil). Otherwise, if your Beyer headphones are older with no removable wires then you should take your money elsewhere and buy a bigger case as you would definitely need wiggle room to seat the headphones properly. Great value for the right products. Material inside is soft, and the outside has the right amount of rigidity to support your expensive cans. I was definitely waiting until the 50$ Beyerdynamic cases were back in stock but these will do nicely for the mean time. Peace B-)

I purchased one each of the cases for my open and closed-back Pro X phones, to store them safely and for travel. I have had no issues with them: the phones perfectly and tightly fit with the cable disconnected. I want to note two things that may help someone. Firstly, there is a lot of empty space in the middle of the case. If you drop a loose quarter-incher cable there for travel, it may bump the 'phones, be aware of this. A judiciously placed velcro solves the issue. Secondly, you may use this empty space for a mouse or a trackball when travelling: it fits my quite large Logi Ergo X wireless trackball just fine. Put the trackball/mouse upside down, button side towards the middle of the headband, so that the mouse won't be damaged by metal earcup holders.

This case fits the DT 990 Pro (and therefore the 880 and 770 since they're the same shape) perfectly. However, PLEASE NOTE > there's a correct way to insert the headphones! You simply tilt the headphone cup with the cable a little bit so it goes a little into the opposite ear cup. The reason for this is it guarantees no stress on the wire. This is super easy to do and takes no extra time - you literally just tilt the ear cup with the wire so it goes inside the other a little. This protects where the wire connects to the headphone, which is a challenge with large headphones like this. But do that (it's easy) and it's PERFECT. The case itself looks and feels expensive. Durable. Ready for travel. I'm very happy with it and I also purchased another LTGEM case for my MDR-7506 and it's equally good.
