Surprisingly nice
I wasnāt expecting much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. Well made apron-the materials, hardware and construction are good quality. The padded knees are a great feature. Itās soft right out of the box.Only recommendation I have is a nail magnet, but thatās easy enough to add.I would definitely recommend this apron for any full-or part-time farrier.

Great product!
Iām a smaller woman, and got these for trimming my horses hooves. They adjust to fit me and I love that they have pockets for tools.

Farrier apron
Works great, just needed to change the leg straps. The way they are your always having to adjust them. I ended up undoing the leg straps to finish my 2 horses with no problems, they are very easy to trim

Missing Buckles
They came and they only had half the leg buckles. There was no way to buckle them up. Completely worthless. Sell was not helpful at all.

Great work apron.
This apron is great for anyone working with horses or on a farm. It's very well made of leather, and it's resistent to staining. You can just wipe it down when you're done wearing it. Love the pockets and loops, it has so many! Highly recommend!

the belt strap is the ONLY issue
Everything about these is perfect except for one major flaw. The belt strap is cheap thin material and slips on the buckle so you can't keep it tight. I'm going to have to have something done to it so it can be worn and used. the leg buckles have a secondary piece the material goes through to bind it so it doesn't slip and the belt strap does not have this tho it is sorely needed. This means I have it re-done which is aggravating.the extra knife is a nice tool. If the belt strap wasn't such an aggravating issue that has to be dealt with at my expense to make it usable, this would be 5 stars without a doubt. You shouldn't have to repair something brand new to make it usable. Once the belt strap is changed out for something useful, this will be a great set of chaps.

Well-made and tough. I love them!
I LOVE these farrier chaps. I had been using some cheapie ones that were, of course, made for men. They swallowed me and I had to tie them in the back to get them to fit. The legs were so big that our constant 30+ mph winds made them flap all the time and made the animals nervous. So I got to where I didn't use anything. If the horse pulled its leg away when I was using the Hoof Boss or something, it'd cut right through my jeans. Not great. These cost only maybe 10%-15% more than my cheapie ones did. But right out of the package you can tell how well made these are. The stitching is good, the material is thick and heavy-duty. The pockets are in the perfect place and a good size to fit my nippers and rasp (though I do kinda wish there were more pockets). The buckles are plastic and a bit big but seem very sturdy.I'm 5'4" and usually wear size 6 or 8 pants and I have several inches smaller I could go if I wanted in the waist (though if you're extra small, like a 0 or 1, you might have to make some adjustments to get them to work). The legs fit me just like in the product image and they feel so thick, padded, and safe. They're heavy enough they don't flap around and I like how the strap goes diagonally over the back of the thigh from top to bottom instead of straight across, as it holds the legs down better. It's such a relief to find something that will work so well for me. Like it was made for me. I feel so much safer with these than I did with just my jeans!I highly recommend these if you're a woman or a person of smaller build trimming your own animals. I'm going to use them for trimming this week and am actually looking forward to it!

Yeehah! How do you like em with tie-dye? š Padding gonna make my knees much happier
The media could not be loaded. I don't currently own or work with horses, unfortunately. š“ Not for decades, waah. I love them, though! And when Amazon suggested these padded leather chaps to me, I knew they would help me! I've been getting such horrible bruises on my knees etc., what with moving things and heavy boxes around, trying to fix up my art studio and living space.- My friend, who has a degree in equestrian š ism, (among other things) says she thinks the trend of mixing chaps with tie-dye, like I did today, "should catch on" š- these chaps are high quality- beautiful suede leather- nice padding- good stitching- leather pocket on each side, to hold a tool- the straps for my waist and legs even fit me (after I pulled them out pretty much to their utmost.)- I found them quite comfortable to walk around in working- made my parents giggle-. Would help protect my lower half when I'm soldering jewelry or my art sculptures or doing pyrography woodburning, too, I imagine.- I'm sure they'd be handy for a real farrier.- wrapped in a clear, resealable plastic bag, additionally protected on inside with tissue paper, and folded nicely- giftable- quite sturdyI feel like going horseback riding now! š Wanna join me?
