These antennas nearly doubled the signal strength @25ft. through a wooden floor. The router is on the ground floor, about 3 ft above grade. I have not tested coverage outdoors. I replaced 2 of the 3 antennas on my router with these. My reasoning was that I wanted to leave one standard antenna in place because it was of lower gain, and therefore projects a more spherical emission, and likely better coverage to other floors directly above the router. These are high gain antennas and the gain does not magically appear, it has to come from somewhere. These high gain antennas focus the signal in a narrower beam vertically to achieve greater coverage horizontally, at the detriment of vertical coverage. If you, like me, need to cover multiple floors, you MAY not get the coverage you expected on other floors if you only use high gain antennas. As always, if you are strictly going for distance, higher is better. Just keep in mind that a really high antenna placement with only high gain antennas, in theory, could have a null directly below and above the antennas due to the elevation pattern of the emissions.These antennas are tall, and will require support of some type to orientate at anything other than straight or a 90 degree angle. Please keep them away from metal and don't use metallic supports. Please also shut down your router to change antennas to prevent possible damage to your transmitter while you change them. I hope that this information may help someone. I relate this information from my experience and knowledge as an Amateur Radio Operator.

Bought this for my TP-Link Archer C7 (1750 AC) router to reach my steam link in my bedroom. These thing are TALL like 3 to 4 times bigger than my default antennas, but they work like a charm. My 5ghz connection is as good hooking it up with an ethernet cable.

Definitely extended my wifi.
