I love this set, but I wouldn't say that it would be Easy for a beginning artist.
The entire calligraphy set is beautiful! The nibs are not the best because they came a bit mangled, they must have not been placed in the bands gently, the tips of most of them were bent or separated, and a few were just way off center; however I have many nibs and enough practice with them to know how to bend them back in the correct place. The rest of the set is stunning and works wonderfully! If you want to feel and look as elegant as your writing styles do, I say get this set to complete your outfit!

Nice but HOT
Does not have instructions and when heating the entire spoon for pouring gets hot making holding it over the flame to melt all the way very hard and painful. Other then a slight burn i have its a great set for the price

I love this feather pen. It looks so nice. This would make a WONDERFUL gift for a writer or for anyone. It just really looks so very nice. Even better than the picture. It seemed very well made. It came in a nice box. You could just send it to someone.Of course you could also use it. It comes with plenty of accessories. Everything worked well. It was so very pretty. I really was very pleased with it. I would highly recommend it.

You WILL burn yourself.
This is a beautiful gift in almost every manner, EXCEPT that the entirety of the little spoon for the melting of the wax absorbs and conducts heat like nobody's business. You will need to wrap the handle of the spoon, or your hand, while it's over the flame, and then have somewhere prearranged to set it down immediately afterwards that won't be badly damaged by incredibly hot metal. It's a bit astonishing, really, how quickly it heats and how hot it becomes. Insane.
