Donovan is unwavering and his focus on Eva is laser sharp; Eva is hiding in plain sight and a master of misdirection. Chaotic doesn’t come close to describing Eva and Donovan’s courtship; and I have to say these two were some of my favorite romantic characters ever.True love never does run smooth, so look for big secrets, family hijinks, Clementine the goat, a kidnapping, and an astrological planetary disaster only affecting Blue Moon (of course)! Also on tap are full on belly laughs, for this is one humdinger of a book. Although it seems like there is a lot of chaos going on, the story is tight and the reader is never left feeling overwhelmed.This is Lucy Score’s finest work to date. Everything is more with this book. Sexier, shinier, funnier, and it wouldn’t be a Lucy Score book without tons of heart and emotion. I never want to leave Blue Moon, and I hope that Lucy Score never tires of writing about it.

Eva has finally followed her sisters to Blue Moon. They have both happily fallen into the Beautification Committes Nefarious plans for seeing everyone happily wed. Eva has some things to hide and is trying not to show interest in the local sexy Sheriff who keeps catching her in embarrassing situations.Donovan is the local Sheriff following in family tradition and works hard to wrangle this quirky town into some semblance of following the law. Holding on to Chaos tells the story of Donovan and Eva, two seemingly total opposites who find they are perfect together. I was hooked from the very start; I literally laughed out loud throughout the story. Donovan and Eva were an absolute hoot and so sweet with one another.When we first meet Eva she seems to be a carefree and slightly chaotic young woman, but when we dig deeper we realize she is constantly trying to shield her family from worry and distress by pretending she's fine and keeping stressful secrets. Donovan is the town sheriff and seemingly the complete opposite of Eva, but we quickly find out he has a sweet spot for our heroine and he's not afraid of feelings.The hot sheriff is extremely patient with Eva and though he's very supportive and protective he is never overbearing. Donovan has to convince Eva that relying on the people who love her is not forbidden and that families help one another. We get to witness our two main characters fall in love in the most magical and crazy fun setting!I also very much enjoyed reading about Eva's secret career - you'll know when you read it - and of course Blue Moon is as crazy of a town as ever and it was such a treat to catch up with some of our favorite characters from previous books; we get to peek into their lives as they are tightly intertwined with our protagonists.Holding on to Chaos was an absolute treat to read; definitely my favorite book in the Blue Moon Series!

This book was good. I give it 4.5 stars and the 1/2 is only because of my personal preference. It was more activity with the town and not as much between Eva & Donovan. I just wanted more. The past that Eva was keeping a secret worried me and made me a bit anxious but it was just me. I like completely angst free books and don’t like it when the MC is hiding things from the other MC. It eventually gets sorted out. There were some funny moments like on Halloween. Donovan is so sweet to Eva. I like how patient he is with her and how hot he gets for her. The previous book characters and folks of the town are all cool as always. Good read and I recommend.

Only Lucy Score could bring this story to life and make it enjoyable, not just a story where you sit back and shake your head. But in true Lucy fashion, this totally works!Dominic Cardona is our resident sheriff and best friends with the beloved Pierce brothers. We've met him in the past but I'm so glad we were given a chance to read about his love story. Eva Merrill is new in town, and comes with a little surprising baggage, but she fits right in! Throw in an astrological apocalypse and a total BC meltdown and you have one heck of a great story on your hands!You are guaranteed to laugh from the beginning to end, and there are many touching moments thrown in throughout. A little drama, and a few twists and turns but overall a feel good story that will make you smile. We also have a few new characters introduced which nicely set up future stories, so I hope this isn't the end for our Blue Moon family!I was provided an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion, but I have also purchased a copy of the book for my own personal library.

**This is book 5 in the Blue Moon series. While you could read this as a standalone title… why would you do that before learning about the other residents of Blue Moon first? Seriously, start from book one because the stories help to build a fantastic picture of this crazy but awesome community and the fabulous families at the heart of it.Sheriff Donovan Cardona a.k.a Sheriff Sexy needs a medal. Ok, so the felonies committed in Blue Moon aren’t violent murders or drive by shootings but how on earth he copes with the madness of the hippie dippy townsfolk is beyond me. The police station does even have cells, they have meditation rooms where their perpetrators sit and contemplate their wrong doings. Bizarre… yes… Brilliantly Blue Moon… yes!!Donovan has been the towns most eligible bachelor since the Pierce brothers all found the love’s of their lives and settled down. With a whole town making it their business to play matchmaker Donovan had skilfully avoided the interference of the Beautification Community thanks to the threat of legal action. He didn’t need the B.C to find him ‘the one’ especially when he had already found her at his best friends wedding a year ago.Eva Merrill was everything he’d been looking for and although he’d never acted upon his infatuation with her, he admired her from a distance every time she came into town to visit her sisters. So, when she moves into his jurisdiction, he has to pluck up the courage to tell her how he feels. Little does he know that his intended love interest might just have the biggest crush on the uniformed Adonis. Of course they are made for each other, but with the planets converging to send their already crazy town even further down the road to loony-ville the couple never even get to enjoy a proper first date. What they find time for is lots of toe-curling, panty-melting sex that inspires Eva and her romance novel writing nom-de-plume Ava Franklin, a much needed bolt of inspiration for her latest book hero.The more you get to know these two, the more you absolutely fall in love with them. Eva is clumsiness personified but that just endears her to him even more. She’s sweet, loving, loyal and smart, but thanks to her deadbeat mother, she lacks confidence and self worth. Being made to feel responsible for her mother’s spiral into drink, drugs and criminal activity, Eva had struggled to outrun her parasitic mother’s extortion. She’d had to move from place to place to avoid her, but every time she tracked her down, demanding money and issuing threats. But now that the Sheriff has set his sights and his heart on romancing and marrying the love of his life, there is no way he is going to let his future be ruined by the philandering mother of his girlfriend.This is great story, that is made even better by the continuation of storylines from the previous books and the ongoing madness that is Blue Moon. With every book I just fall in love with the town and it’s people that little bit more.Lucy Score writes from the heart and all her stories have that romantic quality that makes you want all her leading characters to find the love they do desperately need and deserve. Even though Donovan and Eva’s romance is a whirlwind it doesn’t feel wrong or hurried. These are two people for whom the stars have aligned perfectly. They are meant to be… end of! Who cares if it moves quickly?Fantastic storytelling, and another easy to read page turner that keeps me laughing out loud and rolling my eyes at this towns antics. Love it!! Onto book 6… let’s see which two townsfolk are going to get the treatment of the B.C now.

Everybody stop! The Blue Moon gang are back, back again. I for one, am so happy. I wait semi patiently for whatever is written by Lucy Score, but I have such a soft spot for the romantic goings on in Blue Moon. At this point I'm not entirely sure this place is fictional 😄😉. The characters are so well fleshed out that I can almost predict reactions to events now we're 5 books in.What I couldn't predict is an unforseen planetary alignment event turning the entire town even crazier just when sheriff Donovan finally finds the woman of his dreams. What ensues is a madcap caper full of fun, silliness and a astrological conspiracy to keep Donovan from laying claim to Eva, youngest sister of Gianna (book 2) and Emma (book 4).As ever with this series, the lighthearted feel is tempered with the secrets Eva is keeping from her family and Donovan. I think the more serious storylines interspersed with the fun are really what make this series so successful.I become invested in the outcome being a happy one and the main protagonists taking me on a journey to fulfilment.Long may Lucy find a way to revisit the people of Blue Moon, but if it were to be an end note, the series has gone off on a high. I secretly hope she writes more though😁

Seriously I have never laughed so much at a book. The planetary alignment reeks havoc on Blue Moon just as Eva and Donovan are beginning a relationship. Secrets, chaos, weird interventions, sexy sheriff, surprises - this book has it all, with lots and lots of fun thrown in. This absolutely is my all time favourite book and would give it a hundred star rating if possible!

I don't think I will ever get tired of saying I LOVE THIS SERIES and this town of weird, funny, sweet and awesome people.Another hilarious story from Blue Moon Bend. Only there you can have an astrological catastrophe that will make Blue Moon residents lose their minds and get up to the craziest shenanigans. This book will have you laughing out loud and make your heart hurt with the angst. So flippin good.
