Q: Are you still able to grip bottles to apply your own nails while wearing these? They look slippery.

Yes they are nylon and slippery. But since the tips are open you can still apply polish and I can open the bottles before putting on the gloves. I can’t remember I wore them only once or twice. They are poorly made and tight around some fingers and awkwardly long around others. Waste of money.
