Maison Ikkoku Collector's Edition, Vol. 5 (Volume 5)

I’ve been reading this series with one of my kids. We both can’t wait for the remaining volumes to be released. The wait feels interminable. The story is so well crafted, charming, funny, and genuinely touching. I’m amazed I haven’t heard more about this series when searching for recommendations of classic manga. If you incline toward slice of life/romantic comedy with a touch of heartbreak and a slightly more mature sensibility, this will likely hit the mark.
