Sony PlayStation 4 Camera

Works great. My husband and I like to stream our games and this camera does the job. Eventually we plan on getting a capture card for our computer so that all of our gaming platforms can utilize the same web cam through our computer but for now this works. Product was well packaged, easy to open, and the set up was a breeze. Decent image and microphone for the price considering that the Xbox One Kinnect is so much more expensive. We did not purchase a camera for our PS3 so we were unsure how this would perform. We were pleasantly surprised, especially after discovering the sad excuse for a headset that was included with our PS4. Well worth the investment for streaming on Twitch if a capture card is a little out of your budget or if you just find investing more into maintaining your personal computer to be frustrating. We purchased this camera for $40.99 am not sure if I would take a star away if I would have had to pay the $60 price point. Although, it still is a great deal compared to the Kinnect. We love being Amazon Prime members and with free one day shipping this was a no brainer for our family.

The camera includes a basic instruction sheet, an adjustable plastic stand an and attached USB cable.I have been waiting to grab a PS4 because I thought the regular price was too high for the camera. After it went on sale for 29 bucks, I decided to get the new version. As far as I can tell there is no real difference in the specifications between this version and the older PS4 camera other than the outer design. I mainly got this in the hopes that now that the PS VR is now out that more and more games will start utilizing the camera. Unfortunately, there are not many games that utilize the camera to its fullest extent even with the VR.I did expect the camera to have a bit better resolution than it has. The picture at times is pixelated, especially in low light. The camera does the job but the picture capability should be better. There is a build in microphone but the features of the camera seemed to be limited for the most part at least so far. I am hoping that more features will be added over time through the PS4 OS. You can log into the PS4 using the face recognition but at times it doesn’t work from only 6 feet away and really isn’t any quicker than just logging in with the controller.The build quality of the camera is good although I think the attached cable could be a bit longer than the three to four feet that it is in length. The stand itself is ok as it is adjustable but it is limited to placing on a flat stable area as there is no way to wall mount itThe camera works fine for what it is but it is really limited in what it can do mainly because of the lack of software/game support and sparse feature capability of the OS. For 29 bucks, this is worth taking a chance that some new games will bring some of those compelling features to the camera. At full price, I would wait until it goes on sale.4 stars

I have the original camera but decided to trade with my sister and get one of her extra move controllers instead. Since they're being overpriced for a 7 year old product. And buying this was cheaper.I do love the new design as quality seems to be the same. It's easier to mount on the tv and also can get a privacy shield for it.I've had my ps4 for 3 years along with the first camera. I got them together. And that camera is fine still, so I'm hoping this one will last a long time too. Right now I use it for vr mostly.So far it's been great. And keep in mind this only works on the ps4 as they use a special connector that's only on the ps4. Can't use it on a pc or anything else.I have a Curved TV and I get worried that the mount won't stay on well. But it's been ok as long as you don't hit the tv by accident. Seeing how this is shorter length wise than the original one, I like it better on my Curved TV.I'm attaching some pics comparing the two. And you can also see how it looks with the camera shield too. But you have to buy that separate.

Glad I bought it because I needed it back when I had a PS4

This works great, I like the little extras you can do while the camera is on.I did have a scare one night as I came in to make sure my son was going to bed and the camera came on by itself while I was standing there, I asked him if he had turned it on and he had not. My solution was to just turn it around when he himself wasn't using it.So all in all I really like the camera for the really cool things you can do with it, just turn it around when not using.I do recommend the seller'
