I’m a bit of a pen snob. I love fountain pens but thereMessy. I took a chance since I like Cross. I love the slim design, the body is metal which is a win and the action is smooth. I will call out the body is textured a little bit so it gives you grip. The Gel is wonderful. I only use Gel pens or Fountain pens. Worth the buy for the price point

I collect pens. Cross has been known for producing quality pens and this is no exception. It is lightweight, but also very sturdy. The clicking mechanism is smooth and satisfying. It writes well with a consistent ink flow.

This is my 3rd cross pen. The first 2 had me swooning. I was excited about the click mechanism on this one. Unfortunately it's subpar. The ink takes a while to dry, so it smears on note taking. The ink flow is terrible, it lets out a huge amount, then the next word or letter you really have to try to get it out. It writes smooth until the ink decides it doesn't want to come(& no it isn't out of ink, I just got it). The size is awesome, sleek design. Overall, definitely wouldn't pay that for another one of these again. If you're a student, nurse, or need a quick pen, I'd go with something else to avoid the smears and staining with the slow drying ink.

Update March 2025: Revised my rating. Exchanged defective pen. Replacement seems to be working well. The clip seems more firmly attached so far no problems. The clicker is still squishy, but after adding a quarter of a spring from a cheap click pen, the Cross pen now has a much firmer click.Lousy quality control. Like others have mentioned the clip on the pen is cheap and immediately fell off. Also, the black ballpoint version of this pen has a silver color clip, not black and gold as described, and has a black matte finish not black lacquer. The pen writes smooth like my other Cross ballpoints. The barrel is slim, although a tad thicker than the classic Cross twist pens. Ink seems the same as other Cross refills and is smooth enough. The click mechanism is soft, but seems to work fine. Not confident it will last given how poor a simple thing like the clip was. I am disappointed. I expected more from the Cross brand.

One of my favorite pens. I prefer the Cross Century Classic for feel, but the Click is very nice, too, and comes in different colors.
