In 2021, we took our already reliable and versatile Tejas Gun Belt - “El Burro” and gave it some upgrades. With all-new materials and design, the buckle comes in brushed antique silver and sits flat against the waist. This makes our newest “El Burro” more comfortable than ever and significantly reduces printing when you’re armed. It also includes easily removable tool-free fasteners if you need to remove the buckle for any adjustments. The “El Burro” is built from a single flexible layer of waterproof, textured, reinforced polymer that provides dress belt comfort with stretch and sag-free performance whether you’re carrying or not. It’s cut in a standard 1-1/2” size that fits most belt loops and holsters, and we also refined the construction to include a tapered tip, making it easier to put on and take off. Our "El Burro" comes in even sizes from 32-44 inches and in four colors: Black, Charcoal, Coyote, and Chocolate. See Tech Specs for belt sizing considerations. Made in Texas.

Great quality
Great quality, best belt I’ve ever owned, I’ve gone through lots of leather belts and this out performs them all, comfortable, fits perfectly and durable with or without Batman accessories

A really good belt!!!
I have both the tan and black versions of this belt. It tends to be my EDC belt unless I have smaller belt loops upon which I switch to a different brand belt loop only because there isn’t a version of this belt where the width is smaller. I love this belt because for me it has the best balance of rigidity and sturdiness while still being relatively flexible. It’s also not as thick as the El Original belt they offer (1/8 of an inch vs 1/4 of an inch) which makes it easy to slip on accessories of which I’m usually have two or three on me depending on my needs. Where I really like it is its DAKA material that it’s made from their ‘polymer-infused textiles’. Many reviews here say it’s grippy, which is where this works for me over a standard leather belt. Items on my belt simply don’t move whereas on other belts, leather or otherwise, where it’s smoother they’re liable to move around. Best example I have is in the bathroom where once my belt is undone gravity works toward making my items shift around and I have to figure out a workflow of securing those items while trying to do my business. That does not happen with this belt and is where it shines for me. While this easily covers casual wear, I actually use my black version in a professional setting, and it blends pretty well even though the material isn’t smooth and shiny and the belt buckle is more matte (I like chrome but not a fan when it comes to what I wear). I did find the buckle can incur scratches somewhat easily although it’s easy to remove if you use something like 1200 grit sandpaper, for those of you that DIY. With the grippy-ness of this belt, if you decide to use this with dress pants or pants with delicate material, I would recommend hand-feeding it through the each loop as opposed to just threading it through each loop and pulling it through like when sewing. The DAKA material is akin to G10 scales on pocket knives where it can just shred those areas of your pants over time. Overall, very happy with this belt. Recommended.

Solid looks traditional
I have had El Original Tijas gun belt for probably 5 years but the bullhide leather was starting to delaminate from the polymer stiffened layer.I was initially concerned El Burrough would be less durable and appear plastic. It feels good looks good holds my EDC and I look forward to a long service life from this belt.

Strong material
The belt has a sleek stylish appearance and is made with strong material. The one complaint I have is the belt is textured in a way that makes the belt difficult to take off. You literally have to go loop by loop to remove the belt from your waist. If the inner part of the belt was smoother and less textured it would make it easier to take off.

Great belt!
Bought this belt for my husband for Conceal carry, but he likes it so much that he wears it every day. Leather belts tend to warp or stretch over time, he has been wearing it for a few months and it looks as new as the day we received it with no stretch or bending or warping. Highly recommended!!

2.0 is a nice improvement to an already good belt
I mostly have leather belts, but I've really liked wearing my original Magpul El Burro belt in charcoal. It's quite thin but still stiff enough to support my pants with IWB holster, and the polymer is durable. I also like the 3/4 inch hole spacing, which is unfortunately rare although I have a custom leather belt with similar spacing. I wanted to get another El Burro belt in brown (chocolate) and saw there's a new 2.0 design. It just arrived, and it does address two issues I had with the original belt. The new buckle sits much flatter (and seems quite beefy), and the tip of the belt is now slightly tapered which makes it much easier to feed through the buckle and loop. The buckle is now also tool-free, but I never removed it on the old belt so that doesn't matter to me.The only minor downside to this type of belt is that, unlike leather, it's won't curve over time to fit your body. When sitting, it can stick out a bit in the back, but this usually doesn't bother me. I think the charcoal color is very versatile, but I'm glad I now also have a brown option.

Buy actual pant size
First off: these belts are awesome. I should have gotten one years ago. My wife thinks it looks sharp and inconspicuous. It holds all my stuff really well, and I appreciate that it doesn't soak up water and swell when I'm in a kayak, wading, etc. This is miles better than the nylon Velcro style belt I used for the last year or two, and much less "tactical" looking. The only downside is that the sharp-looking buckle does actually print pretty bad. It looks like a belt buckle, not a you-know-what, but I don't want anything sticking out down there. I wish the buckle was slimmer. These run bigger than magpul says. I used the sizing guide from magpul, and I'm on the second to last hole on the belt with a Leatherman/light and a holster for a compact G19 sized you-know-what.If I wear it without any gear hanging off it, I'm on the last hole. I'm not a chubby dude, but if I manage to lose 10 lbs, I think this belt would be too big.I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I lost this one. Terrific value. The only thing stopping me from buying a spare is that this is the 2.0, and they could drop an improved version at any time.

Anti buttcrack device
Ahhh Covid days, the eating, the drinking, the sitting around with the fam! The extra 25lbs. The old belt tortured to death till the MEtaL broke?!?! <the shame>Bought this as the next victim and it appears to be well made and very sturdy. The belt is textured and does not slide like a leather belt would. This is my first CC belt so that may be normal, I'm just not sure. Either way I like it a lot.
