Is there a way to attach a tether

Please don't tether, it can damage the device, your boat, or the occupants. It does float, but if you are worried about losing it there are small holes at the back of the unit to tie a string to a buoy or something to help you locate it if it comes off.

We bought it to use on our MasterCraft X-Star and since the device attaches via suction cups, you just need to have a flat surface near the stern of your boat to attach it to.
