Worked on a clear poly water tank. Used a small butane micro torch (it was slightly breezy that day so that didn't help) for heat as it was the only thing I had handy. That wasn't the best option as I think a hot air heat gun with maybe a tin foil made "nozzle" to make a smaller stream of air would have worked better. Clean up and possibly bevel the crack. Put some heat on the piece to be repaired and slightly towards the strip, it will turn slightly clear as it reaches the right temp. Lay the strip in the area to be repaired and work your way along... The plastic will retain a lot of heat so be careful not to overheat. Did what I needed and made a $250 poly tank usable for rain water collection for less than $5 in materials.

Great product. Fixed a 5 gallon sprayer. No more leaks. Saves me a trip to the hardware store and saved me from having to buy a new sprayer costing 50 plus dollars.

This worked well to patch my rv water tank. Two of the spin weld fittings were cracked so I found fittings at a trailer supplier and had my brother make the drive tools on his cnc mill. My second try in spin welding didn't melt the fitting in quite as well as I would have liked (should have spun it longer) so I used these strips to ensure there would be no leaks at the edge of the fitting and to cover cracked areas in the bit of old fittings that didn't get cut out and the corner of the tank right between the fittings. A pencil style micro butane torch worked well to weld it. I just took the soldering tip off it and set the flame at half level of max.

What really annoyed me is that some schlep cut the packing bag that the rods are in, so they all fell out the bottom, I had wanted to store them in it for organization. Other than that, 5 star. I was able to weld up a 275 gallon IBC tote where a bear thought he smelled food and bit the tote, putting a hole in it. Now it holds water again for the garden.
