Great book
This is a first from this author for me and it won't be the last. The story is brilliant!y written and I just love Miss Adeline (woman) as she is a total hoot.

Sweet and innocent, or perhaps not.
There are good characters, likeable personalities and then there are complete opposite characters . The storyline is interesting. The opening chapters and introduction are amusing, interesting and extremely well written. A lot happens covering many things and emotions.Liked this book very much; read it as part of an anthology I received free of charge. The book is part of a duet which is not clear and therefore hangs on a cliffhanger. Certain individuals and events are unfinished business.I would not have bought it for this reason, but am considering buying book 2, Burn. Perhaps my thoughts about certain characters will be explored and explained, but not necessarily guaranteed a definite outcome, so there may still be outstanding and unanswered questions. Not sure I will bother with the rest of the series because they each seem to be presented as duets.

Slow, uneventful
I was so disappointed in the lack of development and plot in this book. I usually download on KU but this had come up on my social media and the advert grabbed me. 10\10 for marketing, unfortunately that was the only 200 words of the book that were remotely exciting other than the last page. The main characters were so feeble and bland I just didn't feel like they connected. I got bored with the dogs, the had more personality than Pepper. Rather than crash it was more of a bump followed by a weak appology.

Slow burn romance with lots of suspense!
This romance suspense series by new to me author Grahame Claire is brilliant and will have you on the edge of your seat. This book had me captivated from the very beginning and even though this slow burn romance was so slow I thought it would never happen and it is PG rated, the suspense from the family drama and an arsonist had my heart in my mouth for a good portion of the books, however, it was the dogs that totally stole the show.I fell hopelessly and completely for Teague Hollingsworth, after all what’s not to love about a hot firefighter who is also kind, caring and a gentleman.Pepper is a beautiful woman with the kindest heart that is made entirely of gold. Pepper runs the local dog rescue centre and had a not so perfect meet cute with Teague while walking one of the rescue Greyhounds. Destiny had ideas for this couple and kept throwing them together until they became besotted with each other.Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell really are a powerhouse duo who never fail to bring the characters to life and have us listeners feeling all the emotions through their performances. Joe and Maxine are the perfect Teague and Pepper. I loved Joe taking on the sweet, caring firefighter and Maxine was her usual brilliant self as the sweet, innocent animal lover. This series takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions that ultimately leads to a HEA. This duet is absolutely worth the credits, loved this series!

Unbelievable story. Enthralling. Page turner, can't put down.
7 stars Grahame Claire did it again. You can't help put get wrapped up in reading the book. Even though a cliff hanger, it's a get it and read it then wait for Book 2 to see what happens with Teague and Pepper. Teague, Pepper, Miss Adeline and the greyhounds are the main characters. Teague is a firefighter, a great guy. Miss Adeline owns the greyhound shelter and Pepper works closely with her and they have so much love for the dogs.Miss Adeline brings so many laughs and Pepper and she are such a pair. There are so many laughs from the ladies, the dogs and the firefighters. But lots of suspense in the story. We are lucky to have Daniel, Vivian, Muriella and Stone back. They play main characters towards the latter part of the book. If you loved them before, you love them more and a new baby. Teague has an older brother, Lincoln, and sister Beau. The three have always been very close but unfortunately have a no good father. The worst kind. Believes in controlling the three except Teague wants nothing to do with him. They also had something horrible happen when young kids but Teague experienced it more. Things start happening and the suspense begins. You wonder who is involved. Along with it, danger. Read this book. I loved it. But Grahame Claire has not disappointed me with any of his books bu this one is a wow. Thank you Grahame for such a great book. I received an ARC of this book also purchased it and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

First time reader of Grahame Claire
At $3.99 CRASH was priced at the top of my book budget, then to find out it was a cliffhanger.I despise cliffhangers. In all honesty IF I had known I wouldn't have bought CRASH.With that said I would have missed out on a pretty good story.I enjoyed Teague and Pepper's meeting that lead them to find something each was missing in their personal lives.I adore Miss Adeline, a secondary character that is snarky, witty, and quick with a slightly inappropriate comment/innuendo. I imagine myself being like that when I'm a senior citizen. The drama brought to the page involving Teague's family drew me in even more.Who doesn't love a clean romantic suspense WITH DOGS. Everyone loves dogs.Sadly, I don't feel the greyhound rescue angle was portrayed accurately. I'm sure it's because I have some experience with State and Federal regulations (APHIS laws). NOW, had this story been set in the 80's or 90's it would have been far more plausible. There are sections where I wasn't exactly sure who was speaking, so re-reading passages broke up the flow of the story. In trying to create a CLEAN romance, the author missed the mark. Don't get me wrong, Teague and Pepper falling asleep on the floor of the rescue was ADORABLE, but the other overnight's were unrealistic.

for the love of Greyhounds
Grahame Claire always has a way to pull you into the story. Teague Hollingsworth, a broody hot firefighter (Mr. October), and Pepper, a lonely woman, whose best friends are the greyhounds she rescues. Teague's father had other plans for his future, and it didn't include being a firefighter. Will his father use his threats to coerce Teague to join the family business? Pepper and Teague, both have turmoil, and secrets in their lives. The more Teague Hollingsworth helps at the shelter, the more Pepper lets down her guard. I love how Grahame Claire slowly weaves this story and builds up Teague's and Pepper' relationship. Miss Adeline is a fiesty, flirty, kind older woman who started the Gray Paws rescue. She brings a light heartedness that had me laughing, There's fun, plenty of dogs, danger, secrets and a cliffhanger that has me wanting the next book now!

crash
Greyhound rescuer, Pepper meets a hot firefighter in not the best of ways. But what started out as a not so meet cute, may just be her knight in shining armor. But unfortunately Teague’s father is going to make things difficult. Can they make it through the rough stuff?
