I purchased this timer to replace an old mechanical one that was very time consuming to program. Setup was very easy and took only a couple of minutes to program. Also, easy to change the program and manually turn lights on and off. I use this for outdoor lighting and appreciate the fact that it has battery backup for security reasons. Put it into operation on 10/31/25 and it has worked flawlessly, keeping accurate on/off times. Hope it continues, I will be ordering 1 or 2 more in the near future. BTW, delivery was very fast.

This review is for the 24-hour version of the timer. I bought it to set up a couple of attic fans to provide the proper cross-ventilation needed to keep my attic cooler in the summer to save on the electric bill each month. I've found It works really well after a couple of months so far being installed in my hallway above the thermostat. Easy to install and easy to set the timers. It comes with two sets of timers, so you can actually set two start times and two stop times. And it looks good as well. This is for a single circuit only, but that doesn't mean you can't control more than one item with it. They just all have to be on the same circuit. I installed mine into an outlet in the attic where I plugged in the fans. You could do the same thing with holiday lighting or anything else you want to start and stop at the same times each day. If you're installing this yourself and you've done this type of thing before, you'll find it pretty easy, despite what others might say. The instructions are quite clear, almost unnecessary, as the timer itself is clearly labled. Just remember to mark on both ends which wire is the "line" (the live or "hot" wire that supplies the power) and which wire is the "load" (the wire that runs to the outlet or directly to the gadget being used). Especially important when running wires inside a wall and across the attic. I installed this in a 2-gang box where the other side is just an on/off deco switch where I can turn on the attic lights and power a different outlet without having to go up first. It all works really well together and very pleased with the results. I highly recommend any version of these timers!

I bought this to use on my outdoor lights. Works like a charm. Install was a breeze, diagram was very easy to understand I don't know what others are talking about. I programmed it without even reading the instructions that's how easy it is.

Switch is easy to install and program for a basic DIY’er. But the directions are both CRAP and WRONG. Chinese translation done half-a$$ed. First, the Load and Line are both Duh! and backwards or shown reversed. In the text, it says to connect Line to Line and Load to Load…Duh! So go to the diagram, right? Wrong!!! If you follow the diagram, the switch will NOT work. Here’s how I was taught to remember LINE vs LOAD. “LINE” is the power from the power “line” or power source. “LOAD” is everything you expect this switch to “carry” (like Carry the Load): lights, plugs, tools, etc. Second, there is nothing stating how to program the on/off timer options. So here you go: a) To set current time, use the up/down triangles. Nothing special, but always active. Meaning, if you accidentally hit a triangle instead of the top on/off buttons, you WILL change the time. b) The top “on/off “ button are your manual controls. c) For programing, you can program two “on” and two “off” options. For example, On at 5pm and Off at 10pm. To set the “MY ON/OFF TIME”: Press “My time ON” twice and the time window will flash the last programed ON time (or factory set). Use the Triangles to set desired ON time. It does scroll fast, but does scrolls an entire 24-hour period; 1-minute at a time. Triangle let you control forward or backward on the time. When held down, Rate is about 2-3 numbers per second or one-minute per single triangle press. When you have what you want press the “My Time On” again, to save your program to that button. Now for the other three on/off button, repeat my (c) for each button. Best of Luck to All. I have just installed a few of these, but it is way too early for me review longevity. Functionally, simple and effective. I do recommend them with all the conditions I’ve listed. Cheers All!!

I bought another brand and ended up returning it because it was impossible to program and the directions were unclear. For my purposes, this timer was exactly what I needed. I want my exterior lights to come on at a certain time and go off at a certain time. Easy to install. Easy to program. Easy to reprogram.

About several of these to control my outdoor security lights. Easy to follow instructions, and it works great. The thing that really impressed me was that I bought a three pack of used ones, one of them didn't work. I called the company and asked for a replacement and they immediately made arrangements to send it out. Good customer service is hard to find these days. I highly recommend this company and product. Update. I installed one of the other used ones that I bought and it did not work. Tried the third used when I bought again did not work. I will be calling customer service for Replacements on Monday. Evidently the only one that worked was the one that I bought new

Easy to use...programming is a breeze. Have purchased 3 and plan to buy one more shortly. If you are handy they are easy to install. They also look nice.
