Love these bowls. Have been using the same ones for several years. They are the only ones I will buy.

Seriously, these containers are the bomb dot com. They have an amazing shelf life and the only reason I bought it was because I melted the lid of a former container that my boyfriend loves.It was a Tuesday afternoon, I was home for lunch but I only had 40 minutes to cook and eat. Instant ramen, creamy chicken (the most superior of flavors) it is. I make a bomb as' ramen bowl with frozen stir fry veggies, soft boiled egg, cheese, lemon. Amazing. But after I emptied the contents of my bowl I felt the need to clean up (trying to prove to the boyfriend that I can in fact not leave dirty pots on the stove). In my haste to devour ramen (32 mins left and I still gotta drive back to work) I placed the pot on the Pyrex lid that was in the sink.I get home that evening to the boyfriend washing dishes. How sweet, how kind. He shows me the lid. Looks to fine to me...until I see a pot shaped melted edge. Ruined!! It was his favorite Pyrex lid/bowl.Thankfully this isn't a car accident and I admitted fault. A few days later I get this replacement as a surprise for him. And our dog now has a new food bowl from the old one.Tl;dr OP ruins lid because of ramen-y desires, her boyfriend is sad. OP buys new container, love and trust restored.

I bought this to use with the Euro Cuisine YM100 Automatic Yogurt Maker with 7 - 6oz Glass Jars & 15 Hour Timer, Electric Yogurt Maker with Auto Shut Off. It fits perfectly and was exactly what was recommended and what I wanted. I immediately ordered a second one.

These are fantastic dishes! The glass is nice and thick, the lids are sturdy and flexible, and the size is perfect for storing multiple meals' worth of just about anything. I like to cook once to eat for a week, and this 7-cup size works beautifully. It's also just the right size to use in the Euro Cuisine YM80 Yogurt Maker instead of those ridiculous little glass jars. Added plus: The lids make it easy to stack two or three bowls in your fridge or freezer. You can also marinate or brine a pretty large amount of steak, boneless chicken or pork. The lid is nice and tight and won't leak when you tip it upside down and give a good shake to distribute the marinade. Lots better than plastic like Tupperware, since you can see what's in the bowl without having to remove the lid. And you don't have the problem of lingering smell from onions, vinegar, etc. that you get with plastic bowls. The more I write, the more advantages I think of! Just get these bowls, you'll thank me every time you use them.

I am a definite Pyrex fan. I have several of these in all sizes and love them But this particular 7 cup GLASS storage container was delivered in an Envelope!!! Is Amazon crazy? How it arrived in one piece is way beyond me. They usually come in a sealed, heavily constructed cardboard box that you can drop off a truck and it won’t break. I don’t get Amazon sometimes in the way they pack stuff.

The dish is a great size for left overs. That's what I mainly bought it for and because it had a nice fitting lid. It's not too big and not too small like most of the dishes I already had. I needed something that woudn't stain and have enough room for lots of left overs and even use for my salads. I wanted a multi useable item that I could also use when I made salads as the bowls I had were just to small. I would always get salad coming out of the smaller bowls as I stirred in my times. This is big enough and deep enough to put in my salads and stir in all my vegetables. The lid is also great to be able to cover food while in fridge. It closes very nice and snug. It hasn't cracked yet after taking in and out of fridge many times and I never heated dish right after I took out of fridge either.

Love love love this size. Being Pyrex, the glass part is durable-goes from fridge to microwave/oven. Sturdy, smooth tough glass. The plastic lids are another story. Seal well, but I do not put them in the microwave (of course, never in the oven) or dishwasher-they tend to split or warp.
