This Coal Black sink is EASY to clean, and I do NOT have water spotting issues.
I had to wait for the Coal Black because it wasn't readily-available like the Anthracite. I was nervous about it because I had heard both ways on even the Anthracite of them being a nightmare to keep clean and water spots off. The sink has been in use/abuse for just shy of 6 months, so through all of the holidays and massive amounts of baking and 20 coffee cups per day and baking something for someone is a twice a week thing around here. Everything just gets swiped into the sink and bowls and pans get stacked in it to be rinsed or on the way to the dishwasher. We don't have anything in the bottoms of the sink to protect them. This thing looks like new and we haven't actually cleaned it. We had almond-colored porcelain before and did not get away with this. That one was fill it up with a little bleach before bed time twice a week and 1/2 the time it had spots and looked dirty by the end of the day. This sink is unbelievable. I keep looking for it to get spots or dirty but when I spray all of the crap down the drain and dry it with a rag to check, it looks like nobody ever used the thing. I still wipe it dry once in a while in disbelief to make myself feel good about my sink choice, and the story is always the same when I do.

Blanco Silgrantie is Awesome
Awesome sink. Easy to keep clean. Silgranite offers a variety of color choices. Is studier than stainless steel and won't chip like porcelain can. Handles the heat and cold temperature changes beautifully. Was able to match color wise with my granite countertops, and the look is great, much nicer than if I had gone with stainless. Which I was going with till I found out about Blanco Silgranite, glad I did!!!!

Three years of hard use and still happy... but the sinks aren't invincible
I am writing this review after using our sinks for just over three years. We have two Blanco Silgranit sinks in our kitchen and one in our off-kitchen laundry room/mudroom. All three sinks get heavy use. The sinks are durable and still look very good after a few years of hard use, but they are NOT invincible. I am still really happy that we purchased them, but they aren't perfect. Our prep sink has some chips in the bottom that are minor, but noticeable. We also made the mistake of leaving dirty dishes and pans in one of the sinks overnight and found that the bottom of the sink was stained with tomato sauce. We cleaned the stain but it took a lot of work. We have kids who leave dishes in the sink. If they sit there for a few hours before we can remove them, we need to use a lot of elbow grease to remove the stains. They look good when they're cleaned, but require a little scrubbing as opposed to a quick rinse. We no longer put dirty dishes in the sink. We leave them on the counter until we can deal with them. The manufacturer suggests keeping the sinks dry when not in use and I agree that the sinks look better and require less maintenance when we only put things in the sink while we are using the sink. In other words, if you like to leave dirty dishes in the sink for a few hours or overnight, you may experience chips and staining because the surface is slightly porous. The color of the sinks have not faded over three years. The one in the laundry room gets no direct sunlight and the prep sink gets a lot of direct sunlight and both are the same color after these three years. The sinks have a slight sheen when they're brand new, but this sheen faded and the color is a little more "flat" now, but it still looks good. I find that the sheen comes back when I dry the sink with a papertowel and then spray it with a mild cleaner (Honest Company All Purpose Cleaner). I only clean them with either dish soap, baking soda, vinegar, or the cleaner just mentioned. I've never used harsh chemicals. The truffle color we purchased is forgiving. I don't think I'd want to clean one of the lighter color sinks. We chose the Blanco sinks because we wanted a durable, colored sink. This is what we got. There are no surface scratches like stainless steel and no big chips like you can get in enameled sinks. However, the sinks do stain and chip if water or dirty dishes are left in them for a while. Overall, we are very happy after a few years of hard use, but the sinks are not impervious to sitting water and sharp objects. It you don't leave dishes in your sink, you'll probably be very happy.

Affordable and easy to care for
Love this sink! It's great that it comes in a variety of colors to complement any counter top. It's reasonably priced when compared to porcelain-clad cast iron or even high-grade stainless. It's super easy to keep clean with just soap and water or Barkeepers Friend. Counter top installers had no problem installing. This sink is a 29 1/2" wide, and fits a 33" cabinet perfectly. The Truffle color goes beautifully with my new granite counter top.

Greatest sink EVER!!!
I have had many sinks, stainless, porcelain, etc. Cannot beat this one. I have had for a year now and it drains very well and is always spotless. I haven't had to get the Comet or Bar Keepers Friend out once....it just stays looking new.

Beautiful sink
I love this new sink. It looks so good with our new granite counters. Be sure to order the matching drains for the drain and disposal. The sink is easy to clean and is a nice size and depth. I was a bit disappointed because my cabinet limited me to a 32-inch sink, but this is big enough. I did not buy the racks for the bottom of the sink, but my mat and dish drainer fit great.

Very, very nice!
Our kitchen designer found this sink for us to fit on a 39" corner sink base and it fits perfectly. We installed it with a black soapstone counter top, Delta's rubbed bronze single handle faucet ( 9197T-RB-DST) and hickory cabinets. We're thrilled with the results. It arrived promptly and was packaged well. The only thing I would caution is that the template provided by Blanco to cut the counter top creates a revealed edge, not a true overhang. The revealed edge has the counter top hole slightly LARGER than the sink so approx 1/8th inch of the sink edge shows. We're very happy with the look but it you have your heart set on a true overhang, you'll want to point this out to your counter top installer before he uses the template to cut the sink hole in your counter top.

Love the sink, drains were missing. I would buy again.

Beautiful sink, is what we were looking for, two of the mounting holes were cracked and one of the mounting holes had damage from factory drilling. Manufacturer advised sink should be returned and not installed.

As other reviews indicate, this product was unfortunately received in damaged condition. Two large cracks originating at the drilled mounting holes and extending into the basin on both sides of the sink. Return refund requested.
