Short answer, it's water and dust RESISTANT. Longer answer below. If it's rated IP54, that means (according to Wikipedia and the link below)... 1st number (5) is for solids protection: Though it's not DustProof, not enough dust should get in to interfere with the satisfactory operation of the device. (IP6x is 'DustProof) 2nd number (4) is for liquid protection: Protected from water spray from any direction, limited ingress protection. (IPx5 protects from something like a showerhead spraying on it (low water pressure), IPx6 protects against a kitchen sink faucet (more focused water pressure), IPx7 is like using it in a sink or bathtub, IPx8 is like using it in a swimming pool.) Q: Is the battery included? Is the battery user accessible?

Lasting all day is not the concern...lasting several years (as in more than 3) is the point. Every manufacturer just expects us to spend another $600-$1000 every 36 months for new phones including this mfg. "guaranteed Android OS updates for 2 years and will get monthly security updates for 3 years". I plan on keeping my very expensive phones longer than that so I'd expect updates for at least a 5 yr commitment.

Q: Does this support global lte network? (i.e. singapore/asia)?

I use it in Singapore (Singtel network) and it works perfectly, I'm connected with LTE+ mode and the download speed is around 150Mbps with 30Mpbs upload.
