Bad recipes, amazing pics
I loved the book from the day it arrived, it has a very beautiful and catchy theme to it ..... However when you get to cooking which I did... A 4 course meal.. the recipes are a disaster.... Eg "cook the onion for 10-15 min!!". The recipe mentions ingredient quantity for 10-12 Kibeh, when actually it can make around 30-40 Kibeh.Overall, award winning chef and very poor recipes..Would not recommend.

I pre ordered this how can it be discounted on the day of publishing?
I love this book - my queries re pricing etc are not in my mind detrimental to the book.So far, the only slight issue with the book is the classic Falafel, - my introduction to middle eastern cookery was in Egypt - where is the classic Falafel is made with dried broad beans. OK so I am being picky. Love the Ful Medames recipe – memories of Ful and Falafel meals with mint tea.Mezze for dinner this weekend.

Great book with many veggie options
I have another book by this author and she is great. Many middle eastern recipes but not all are the straight traditional interpretation. She does branch out into modern twists. With this book you could make a meal of sharing menus for your friends.
