Great light for stop-motion animation (and indoor still photography)
I’ve been using a couple of these with my 10-year-old son for stop-motion-animation photography as fill/area lights. It's great for that for covering a small set. I'd think it would be similarly good for product photography. We had previously been using incandescent lights, but the fixtures and lamps ran so hot I felt I needed to supervise directly whenever the lights were on, as concerned about burns as starting a fire. The LED’s run cool and I no longer worry about it. This also makes it easy to adjust while on and you can position close to the subject without concern. The light has a pretty good color-adjustment range, but we’re generally just gelling it (search Amazon for the Lee Filters Quick Location Pack), and it works really well like that although you lose a little output. Impressively, and unlike every other (affordable) unit I looked at, the built-in color adjustment doesn’t simply vary between two sets of LED’s, causing you to lose up to half the output as you vary from the middle color temperature. The output brightness seems constant as you vary color temp, I have no idea how they accomplish that, but it’s a great (and I think unique in this price range) feature. If you do use the built-in adjustments, the digital readout is great for stop-motion as it will let you reproduce those settings later. For the price I don’t believe the numeric values are accurate, but they do seem reasonably consistent. We’re using AC power to ensure a drooping battery doesn’t affect the output. Not sure that it would, but with a fixed location there was no reason to mess with a battery. Compared with a flash, the continuous output is nice because you can adjust while evaluating the effect in real time, much less need for test shots, and the price is almost free compared with proper cinematic lights. For still photography at reasonably low ISO, I don't think it would work well for lighting much larger scenes unless you're ok with a long exposure, as it doesn't throw much light compared with a studio flash or larger pro-grade conventional or LED studio lights, and it doesn't have the build quality of a higher-end light. But if you don't need more than say five feet of throw, it’s fantastic value for the price, and for 1/5th to 1/10th the cost of a studio LED I can replace it if it breaks.

Versatile light
Fantastic light for more than photo/video work. As recommended by Adam Savage on his YouTube channel Tested I picked this light up to use over a small workbench I have set up in my office. The ability to dial in the exact color temperature you like or need for a project is great. It is also very bright, I keep it on 50% power most of the time. I have mounted mine to a very strong magnetic bracket (also found on Amazon) with the necessary 1/4”-20 thread to screw right into the light. Magnet attaches very firmly to the Wall Control peg board. Plug in a 12 volt power adapter and you are ready to go.

Great, versatile tool for Video and Photography alike.
Great light, I love the fact that you can change the color temperature and brightness with a knob. The turtle light output is a little bit less than the Neewer Because of how the LEDs are configured, But the larger surface area creates a softer shadow, and I love this light. I also bought the Viltrox wider light for the same price. It his the same, just wider and less high (same light output) and I prefer it because the width softens the shadows a bit more, but this is just preference. These beat Neewer hands down. I only use the Neewer as a catch light now. It is just to small with harsher shadows, and I always misplace my Tungsten filter, where this has gradient color temp from 3400 to to 5600 or thereabouts. For the price, this is unbeatable. The only downside is it is maybe 10-15% less bright, than Neewer, but it does result in a softer, more pleasing mage due to how they have the LED's set up. I rarely turn it up to 100% anyway unless in daylight, bringing up the shadow side of someones face. It also takes a 12V adapter. On my first shoot in the dark of a woods, it lasted perhaps 1.5 hours at 100%, and batteries are maybe $8 on amz. Great tool.

Good, solid performer
Despite the four stars, I really like this light. It does something no other small LED light I have does: it gives an even distribution of light, no hot spots, across a very wide angle. For video and photo use that is a major benefit. I do note that the beam is very wide, which has the effect of reducing the brightness on any given part of the scene (spotty lights solve that problem, and are brighter . . . but in narrow spots only). Although I haven't tested the light output for temperature, the control does vary color temperature smoothly over a wide range. Shooting on location, trying to balance the color of this light with whatever happens to be ambient doesn't require a precise color temperature anyway, since non-professional ambient light sources can be pretty much anything. The stated input requirement for wall cord use is 12 volts (through an adaptor). I purchased the Viltrox adaptor, which is only 9 volts. But it works, so nothing really to complain about there. This light is a little larger (width and height) than other products, which makes it somewhat cumbersome to use on a camera. Still, it's not a major problem, and is usable. Some competitors provide a protective case for their lights, which Viltrox does not (hence the four stars). This thing looks easy enough to damage when in a camera case with other equipment, and a way to protect it would be appreciated. I wasn't able to find an after-market supplied case of appropriate size.
