use at your own risk
This item is a well-made item. made of a heavy plastic material. use at your own risk. I used this item on my Stihl MS180, and it put a hole in my piston. the repair is costing me $200.00. I was told by a local Stihl repair facility they use the rope in the cylinder trick. it is safer I guess.

Absolutely Worthless Piece of Junk! Avoid!
This product was apparently never tested by anyone, as it failed immediately after screwing it in the spark plug threads positioned over the piston. It collapsed immediately, rendering it useless. You can actually stop the piston from moving with a piece of nylon rope, avoid this piece of junk!

Nice looking
This is an update to an unposted review. Had a problem with delivery, empty package. Turned out there were 2 packages, empty one was delivered to me while the other one was delivered to the wrong address (correct address on package) and the person kindly delivered it to me this morning. So it is not this dealers fault but Amazon delivery driver. The piston stop looks good. I like it being nylon, less chance of damage to piston top. Yes I would recommend this item.

Very functional Piston Stop - unfortunately it was a re-packaged return
Very functional Piston Stop - I was able to pull the clutch off my Stihl chainsaw using it. I dropped it 2 stars because it was obviously used - the package was poorly re-taped up using duct tape. It's frustrating to pay full price for a piece that someone used (probably once to get the job done) then returned.

As described. Plastic with 2 differemt thread sizes. My only concern is that it may be easily cross threaded because it's plastic, but, I figured the plastic would be easier on the piston head than a metal one and if you do cross thread it you won't destroy the hole threads.

Too soft, too short
My experience was similar to others... the material was too soft and the length too short to do the job correctly. Mine bent and allowed the piston to skip over it. Who knew that the name brand "Zhiqinge" doesn't mean "qaulity" in Chinese!

Works great!
Work’s great. Used it for repairs on a couple chain saws. Threaded just fine into the spark plug hole.

Should have read the reviews before buying!
The item is the same length as the spark plug so it does not do what it is supposed to do and stop a piston! Useless!
