A great little soldering kit for beginners. The LEDs are surprising bright at night and can be seen from quite a distance. Good for parties or some sort of signaling use. The duration of the flash, however, is a bit too long to be of much use for "stopping time" but for an 8 dollar kit I can't really complain. There's other kits out there that use an actual flash tube that would be better suited for that application.

I put these strobe lights and controller on a 450 size 'Air Wolfe' RC Helicopter and what a cool add-on. They are bright enough to be seen clearly in full sunlight and greatly improves twilight visibility. Very clear instructions and if you have any soldering skills at all it is an easy kit to build.

Very easy kit to assemble. Works well within its parameters. Instructions are clear and concise. Highly recommended for beginners. Without hooking it up to an oscilloscope, there is no way to know exactly what the flash rate is, but it's an interesting toy nonetheless.
