I bought this based on reviews and wasn't disappointed. I really like that it's thin as I didn't want to add bulk or extra padding to my mattress. I just wanted to protect it from stains. It is well made so should last a quite some time. I hope the microfiber doesn't make it too warm in the summer.Update: I've had this a year now and it's still in like new condition. The quality has been fantastic. It hasn't made our bed warmer and has protected our mattress!

The description in the ad states "additional loft that provides extra comfortable sleep". The additional loft is minimal, compresses easily and would not provide any degree of comfort for anyone over 100 pounds. The elasticized trim does hold this snugly in place.Overall I am disappointed in my purchase because I bought based upon an Amazon reviewer's answer to my question "where is this made". Her response was "Canada". Let me assure you that this is not made in Canada, rather, it is very clearly made in China (image). It appears that the misleading response to my inquiry has been removed from the site. So, thank you Amazon for that. If you're like me and do your best to avoid supporting China's economy, then look elsewhere for your mattress pad. Lots of great textile products are made in other countries.

After 2 months of use, this topper is now completely covered with lints.(see the picture) Feels like I'm sleeping on a bed covered with sand. I cannot believe that this product has good reviews. Maybe people didn't follow up? Unless you're looking for something that you're going to use for max.2 to 3 months, DO NOT BUY.

Although this pad is not waterproof, it still provides basic protection for your mattress and it also helps to protect you from dust and allergies.The top of this pad is very soft, but the padding is quite thin. This mattress pad is comfortable on my bed though. It also fits and stays in place very well over my 11 inch pillowtop mattress. Since this pad is not waterproof, it will not overheat you or make noise when you move around.Keep in mind that this pad is not meant to be a mattress topper. So if your mattress is too hard, this pad will not soften it up enough for you.

We switched to a 100% mattress pad after putting 2-2 together that our very expensively recommended 'water-proof' protector was actually not working well for us. It was retaining heat and moisture. So we went with the alternate recommendation of a double layer of the cotton ones. So far we are both pleased. Its the middle of summer, hot As. F> and we're cooler than we've been in a while. They're also acting as a little mattress pad giving a little extra comfort to the mattress. A welcomed bonus.We've not had any spills or such since switching (hadn't before either) so can't speak to how well they will protect the mattress, but its going to be better than just a straight sheet for certain.
