Fill those cracks
Have a farm table we love but the machined grooves were driving us crazy with little ones crumbs. Adults too. I have read about several with the same issue so will share my results. Cleaned grooves well and wiped down with alcohol. Filled the grooves with ebony good filla and let dry. Wiped down gently with a damp microfiber cloth, much like grouting. I found light pressure perpendicular to the grooves worked best. Wasn't quite satisfied so filled again, allowed to dry and wiped down. Still wasn't totally level but close enough, we liked the look of the grooves just not the constant mess. Lightly sanded with 320 then 400 grit. Vacuum and wipe down with a tack cloth. Three coats of water based polyurethane, satin finish, then sanded again lightly with 400 grit. Two more coats and I think it turned out pretty nice. I let it dry for three days before use and it is holding up great.

Black doesn’t dry black it dries gray and rough textured
This product did NOT work for me. First of all, the product I received was a very watery paste and not a putty. The color I needed for my piece of furniture was a solid black. The product looked black but actually dried a pale grey. Next, if you want a smooth finish you’ll have to apply it with a putty knife. Applying the product with a fingers will only make bad matters worse. The “finished” product will result in the area where the product was applied will result in a rough bumpy mess. If you do decide to purchase this product make sure you test it out on an inconspicuous area that won’t be easily noticed. Otherwise you may end up needing to sand it off which will have its own set of problems if applied to a piece of stained furniture.

Really happy with this filla
This wood filler works great. But you need to be careful about getting it around the area that you are filling since it is colored it can stain the surrounding wood. I learned this while testing it out on an underside surface. I then adapted my technique to eliminate the problem by applying a coat of finish prior to filling any holes. I would recommend using shellac when possible. I love how easy this filler is to use and sand. It left a great surface and didn't clog my sand paper.

Complete waste of time and money
Product is listed as a wood and grain filler, with instructions to mix contents with water at a 1:1 ratio for use as a grain filler. Result was the consistency of water and completely useless. All went into the trash. never again by that brand name. There is a professional product (Mohawk) that is solvent based and far superior as a grain filler.
