installation tool definitely is cheesy but it kinda works if you line it up properly. I do recommend tapping the holes with a small bit before you use your cordless impact. They went in much faster and I didn't break any.

The screw part of this insulator is significant, nothing tiny or cheap. Twisting into solid wood, even with a hole drilled, takes some torque. But the tool in a drill with a 3/8" chuck makes installation easy. The insulator itself appear strong and effective, well designed to do its job.

I have successfully used a different brand of these in the past which were much sturdier and actually fit the drilling tool. These are smaller than the tool provided so are not centered in the drill and wobble back and forth rendering the tool useless.
