I've had this thing 6 years now and it is still a champ this was a good purchase. Super bright and you never buy batteries.

Love this flashlight.
I use a flashlight every day as part of my job touching up paint jobs on the final product. For me the intense brightness of this flashlight really helps me look at a large surface area really illuminating every minor imperfection. First off the flashlight feels great in your hand with its size and weight. As long as I remember to charge every night I never have any problems with battery life; it even manages to get through two work days usually if I do forget. Eventually I had a problem with the charge port and it rendered the flashlight mostly useless when I couldn't charge it anymore, but Anker managed to send me a new one at no cost so that is wonderful and they deserve all the accolades for that. A minor flaw with the flashlight is the wrist strap it comes with. It really is too frail to support the whole weight of the flashlight over time and my first one ended up breaking. Not a big deal because I never really used it but there could be some improvement in that regard. One other problem I had which probably is unique to me and not a big deal for anyone else is that when trying to wipe some of the paint back spray with solvent it ended up dissolving the plastic lens cover which made it blurry and thus decreased the brightness of it. I won't be making that mistake again. I'd recommend anybody in need of a good flashlight to pick this up and I can't imagine anyone having buyers remorse with it. Thanks again Anker for the free replacement as that made me very happy and I feel obliged to go out of my way to put this review out there.

Very Bright - Easy Overnight Charge
I live in an estates residential area where most of the single family homes are on 2 acres or more, and most are heavily wooded. We have the potential to encounter a variety of wildlife, including black bears, coyotes, bobcats, and the Florida Panther (cougar/mountain lion),, among a myriad of other creatures that you don't want to encounter after dark (or in the daylight, for that matter). The bright light allows me (and my family) to quickly scan the tree line for wildlife visitors when we take the dog out after dark. One evening, around 11:30 PM, our dog (who is a German Shepherd/Husky/Wolf mix and 80 pounds) was looking across the street and went into an alert stance. I turned and pointed the flashlight in the direction that our dog alerted me to, and along the fence line immediately across the street, and about 150 feet away I saw what looked like two yellow/gold reflectors in the beam of light. Everything was good until the "reflectors" blinked because of the bright beam of light. We slowly retreated up the 175 feet of driveway back to the safety of the house while keeping the bright beam of light shining in the eyes of our company that evening. Needless to say, we were both relieved when we closed the door behind us. This is my second purchase of this same flashlight, because someone else in the family liked the brightness and safety of the bright light after dark in our environment and "borrowed" the first flashlight (I think that I would probably find it in his car, but if it provides some safety insurance and it makes him feel better about it, he can continue to "borrow" it). The flashlight is one of the more sturdy and bright flashlights on the market in this price range, and fully charges overnight when necessary. I have only two comments on the "con" side of the ledger; it would be better if there was a battery status indicator that would tell you when the flashlight needs to be recharged (because the light remains fairly bright until it flashes a couple of times and shuts off, and it would be better if the flashlight had a focusable beam so that the light could be concentrated on a narrower range of field.

Great flashlight! But it has a stupid switch.
I love Anker products and am loyal to the brand. While a few products have eventually broken or had problems, I have always felt they were worth it for the price. Their goods tend to be rugged and dependable and a fair price for the quality. This flashlight is like that. This flashlight is very bright. It works as described and is made very well. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the silly design decision to make the on/off switch also be the button for switching modes. One of those modes is a bright flashing light. When a person grabs a flashlight to use it, they need one. A person expects to press the on/off button and for the flashlight to turn on. Due to the buttom on this flashlight also being used for changing modes, there are times you press the button and it turns on, but flashing. To change it, you have to cycle through the five modes. No. Me no likey. That is the primary flaw of this product. I can't see where the flashing light would be useful except roadside emergencies, but I imagine that for most people, nearly always, they just want light. Indeed, there may be times you want light but for it NOT to be flashing, such as if you are trying to find something without waking others. Yes, there is a workaround. You can hold the on/off button for two seconds, and the flashlight will turn off in that specific mode. I have owned this for months and still don't get it right, because I don't want a flashlight to have a learning curve. I have often found that it taking two seconds to turn off the light is an issue (imagine looking for prowlers and you see movement and want to turn off your flashlight. Two seconds can matter.) There must be a way to have a second button or switch, or some other solution. As much as I like this flashlight, that is the one thing I dislike about it. This is why I often resort to using a different flashlight that doesn't need to be so persnickety--I press the button, and it turns on. That is what I want a flashlight to do.

A great everyday use flashlight that puts out a ton of lumens
I'm a big fan of Anker's products, and i really enjoy bright flashlights, so i jumped at the opportunity to get one of these flashlights when they were first made available. The LC130 feels very well made, with a satisfying heft and quality tail-end on/off switch. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the beam is not able to be focused, you are limited to one lighting pattern. That being said, the flashlight casts a very bright beam, with a focused bright spot in the middle and a large halo around for periphery illumination. The lack of adjustability does allow the flashlight to be water resistant to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes, which i feel is a fair tradeoff. The 5 lighting modes are easy to access and offer a good compromise between maximum brightness and maximum lifespan. One thing to note is that the flashlight can not be used while charging due to the fact that you have to remove the on/off switch button in order to access the micro USB charging port. Overall, i'm very happy with the flashlight, i plan on leaving it in my glovebox so i always have ample lighting if i ever get stranded. I am going to have to look into the lifespan of the provided 26650 battery, as extreme cold or heat may effect the battery life.

Tale of two Companies
Brightest Tactical LED with USB recharge circuit. Best of all it's Anker. Anker provides 18 months warranty. Anker actually stands behind their products. Lightning struck the guard shack. Work phone dead. Anker light on charge at the time is totally dead. Only part left is the battery. Burned out the light. Quick phone call with the original Amazon Order Number. Email sent back after brief chat with Anker. No Serial Number so snap a picture of the light and the Anker name. Email returned. New light is in the mail now. This is customer service at it's finest. Taco Bell Saturday night gave me a free $5 eGift card with $20 eGift card purchase. Expires end of July and only valid in the App. Placed order today for $5.70 took the money off the $5 eGift card but generated error. No order sent to store. Store manager take it up with online. Please drive back around if you would like to order. Left without anything. Almost late for work. Taco Bell .com contact us couldn't find the store so would not generate email. 90 minutes phone call with 800 number. Polite agent finally generated the email. Response that they received that email 3-5 days. All of this before anything done about a $5 error their App made. This is NOT customer service at it's finest. Anker values their name, their customer and their warranty. It's the only cellphone cord I will ever purchase. Only Tactical LED light I will purchase. Only Power Strip I will purchase. If you want one less headache in this world. Purchase Anker.

Great flashlight for the price.
And the brightness of the flashlight is blinding. Definitely will stun someone if shined directly into their eyes. Can definitely light up a large area at a great distance. Battery life's pretty good. It definitely lasted a few days before a recharge. I'm unsure of its exact battery life though. But it will last a good while. Water resistance? It definitely stood up to some light rain. And I would assume that it could stand up to heavy rain. As for complete submergence? Well I'm not testing mine. It's build quality may stand up to it though. Overall this is a really good and cheap flashlight for almost any situation. Might I even say a great flashlight for an emergency situation. Would definitely recommend two or three of these in a household.

Worth every cent
I've used this flashlight every night since i purchased it. I work Security at a location with almost no lighting. I've dropped it plenty, used it in the pouring rain more than i wish i had to, and once dropped it in a toilet. This baby has never stopped working. Never. It's rugged and about as bright as a nuclear explosion. The light throw on this is incredible. It lights up the entire property and, if needed, would EASILY temporarily blind a threat. It's THE tool i go for in a confrontation...and i work Armed. Battery lasts a long time and has a USB port to charge anywhere. Because it lasts long, it also takes a while to charge though. It's got a honker of a battery that you can take out and charge in a different charger if you choose. That's what i do. It's not small but not too big to carry. I have a pocket on my outer vest that the handle fits in perfect. If your looking at this light, you're probably looking for the brightest light for the money. This is the one.

Torcia LED ANKER LC 130
