Quality: Equal to the original.Performance: Works seemingly better than what the oroginal worked when new.Ease of Installation: If 5 wrenches means really hard to install for someone with mechanical aptitude.This was a 1 to maybe 1.5 wrenches.You can find YOUTUBE videos on how to replace the cable on YOUR model. Don't panic if you find a nearly identical model and not an exact match.As you watch the video eyeball your rider mower and determine if your seeing pretty much the same things shown. If they all match up and your mechanically inclined - No offense to anyone not just ask a friend or family member who is.The amount of time this took me was many 30 or less minutes. I am a wheelchair user and it takes me longer to do things, but they get done.Warning: Disconnect the battery before you remove it.What makes this so easy?Do not need to remove the mower deck.No disassembly of anything major.The pathway the cable takes is pretty straight forward.The mower doesn't need to be taken apart.You will need to pay attention to the little fitting that aligns the cable to to the lever.You will need a second person or bungee cord to hold things in place.Pay attention to go UNDER the belt as you install the new cable.If any rings or zip ties held the old cable either leave them in place and slide the new one through them and follow the path as the cable will naturally follow along.Prior to powering up - remove bungee.Try the lever to make sure it engages.Correct anything missed if anything was installed wrong.Don't forget the battery sling brackets.Once all works smoothly with a fair amount of resistance like your used to then install the battery - RED or positive first.Power up and enjoy mowing once again.Highly recommend this cable over the ridiculously priced original.This cable was 100% identical or mirror matched the original part.We own the 17HP Pony rider mower from 2014 or so. Cute little dependable workhorse.

It was t he right size for our mower

Good worked fine

I installed this exactly like the original cable that was on my riding mower. It literally broke on my first use. I mowed about 20’, disengaged the PTO to back up and when I went to reengage the PTO the cable end snapped right off. Cheap garbage. But the actual name brand cable and not this cheap pot metal crap.

Part didn't come with the boot shown in the picture but it works just fine.
