New edit
Edit: machine broke, we'll see how they honor their warranty and I'll post back the result. Update: they refuse to honor the warranty. They actually told me Amazon is responsible basically. They lost this customer. Edit again: a different rep contacted me and if they honor the warranty I'll change it back to a 5 star rating. Edit: today I received the replacement machine so I rate the company back to 5 stars for honoring the warranty. I'm very happy again. Edit: plugged in the new machine today and it will not turn on. I used it yesterday and it was good. Edit: turns out the srew was left out of the cam and the cam worked it's way out to lodge against the machine housing. On the other machine the motor became loose in its housing and also jammed against the outer housing. So if yours is starting to make noise and vibrate more that may be why.

Worth every penny. Its got a Swiss motor people!
This pen is great. Im a beginner but I do my research, you shouldn't ever need to run this thing higher than 6.5 v. If your trying to line with it at 9 get ready. Also, make sure your prepared when shading with this monster. Ive had to use my tour pro, this little bugger is savage. Definitely not a beginner machine though.

Not direct drive as shown in pictures
Opened my pen up out of curiosity and it’s not a direct drive. Nothing like the product images. It uses a swash plate sort of mechanism, but nothing I’ve ever seen before. That isn’t the end of the world but it’s made from a cheap plastic. Cant imagine it will last real long. Couldnt find any identification numbers or anything on the motor. The performance isn’t bad, no trouble lining up to a 9rl so far. No problem w/ shading. Pretty quiet. Kind of disappointed w/ Broc now though.

You have to know what you’re getting
For everyone who keeps saying it hits too hard, you’re lining at too high of a voltage. Run the machine lower than usual. It’s a powerful Swiss motor. You have to know what you’re using to buy this! Not for someone who doesn’t know how to adapt.
