The glass is really thick and seems very durable. I love the blue design and shape of the plates, they look really modern and make the table look great. The microwaveable and dishwasher safe features make these so easy to handle and hassle free. Originally I bought these for special occasions but they are so elegant and practical that I use them all the time for dinners. The best part is that you don't have to buy an entire dinnerware sets when I just need more plates for the table. I anyhow never use the mugs and saucers, and bowls I use only very little. This is the best solution. I'd recommend these for everyone.

Edit: one of these plates just exploded in my kitchen sink! We had never microwaved them as they do not fit in our microwave, nor was it standing on anything hot. In fact, it had a bit of cool water on it. For some unknown reason it exploded sending shards of sharp glass across my kitchen and as far as my diningroom! Thankfully no one was in the kitchen. I shutter to think of what could have happened if my toddler was in the kitchen, he could have lost an eye!These are exactly what the description says. Unfortunately, I was going by the picture which looks square. These are so long in one dimention that, although they are microwave safe, if I put them in the microwave, the plate bumps the side and doesn't turn with the turntable. I was really hoping for square plates, like the ones pictured.That said, they are pretty and easy to clean and load into the dishwasher.

These hold up exactly as described. My plates get bumped around by my 6 year old, but not 1 chip. The only reason for the 4 is because they aren't very elegant or pretty looking. I would not use them for a dinner party, but for outdoor use, they will be great!

While i use these for daily dining, they are very classy and would be excellent to use for important occasions.

The plates came in two 4-pack boxes; I only unpacked one box. One of four plates had a seam line and, on clear glass, it shows quite well. Also keep in mind that, because of the smooth glass surface, your silverware will make a noise not unlike that of fingernails dragging across a chalkboard. Other than the issues above, the plates themselves look decent.

They r awesome I love them

My 6 year old granddaughter is helping write this review because she is so upset at what happened! We had 2 plates explode in the cupboard on separate occasions! I should have discarded them the first time one of the plates exploded however, we never thought it would happen twice! Now I have gotten rid of ALL of them! I’m afraid someone is going to get seriously hurt one day! These plates should not EVER be sold again!😯😯😯
