A most enjoyable and exciting film . Thought Eddie Isszard was outstanding in his performance as school teacher / Agent . 5 stars

I like Eddie Izzard as an actor, he brings his own energy to the part without slipping into his more known comedic role. Featuring very good cinematography, the film unfolds to reveal that all is not what it appears to be at an all girls school. Set in the days, just before the Second World War, Izzard plays a replacement teacher for the school. He begins to uncover a plot to remove the girls & fly them back to Germany. Being a low budget film means making allowances for the thinness of storyline, at times. There is an interesting twist towards the end, which I didn't anticipate. Only one glaring error, which occurs when Izzard is trying to escape from the police. He steals a bandsman's uniform as a disguise. However the size difference between Izzard & the true owner of the uniform is ridiculous. Unless, of course Izzard was playing it for laughs. All in all an ok film.

Really good cast with some good acting but the overall plot & story were lost on us. It just didn't seem believable and like stated "would never watch it again".

really makes me cross when films are made in a specific location and it is obvious that they are messing with the geography. Indoor scenes artistic freedom is permitted, but then to place Bexhill on Sea just a quick march away from the seven sisters is Bull***

A visually stunning movie that immerses the viewer in 1939 England in an intriguing and suspenseful way. Most of the acting is excellent, especially the women and girls of the school where the intrigue takes place.What I liked most is the emphasis on the conscience of several of the characters who quietly yet determinedly stand up for what they believe in, in a way that's not often seen in action/adventure films. It's innovative in the representation of sensitivity as moral courage and strength. Could have used more background for lead character so the viewer could better identify with him.

Not a bad movie, certainly, but definitely in the category of "see it once, and done".Without spoiling it for anyone, I'll say that the approach was rather superficial, lacking depth and complexity in what actually was a very interesting time right before war broke out between England and Germany.The ending in the movie, according to the actual history, was quite inaccurate, but I won't go into that here. If I had been telling this story, I think would have included at least a LITTLE bit of some of the families' actions and reactions in Germany. But, all of the action in the movie takes place in England.The scenery, filmed largely along the Welsh coastline, is hauntingly lovely. It kind of took me back to the "Hinterland" mystery series that I'm so very fond of, and which is now available for purchase here at amazon for U. S. customers with Region 1 NTSC players. (Forgive the plug!)

Wonderful movie. Didn't know they had a school like this in England during the late 1930's. Recommend.
