Very Relevant Nowadays
An essential for our daily lives nowadays, not the only perspective but offers a great and wide analysis of the images that mediate our society.

What's going on…
To be kept in arm's reach whenever society lacks sense.

Gives you much to think about.
Guy Debord seems to be prescient in his ideas. He's a very clear thinker who seems to have truly understood an aspect of modernity others have missed. In some ways, he goes beyond Marx and gives us a meta perspective of the world we live in.I only wonder how much of this book was lost in translation (and by corollary, how much was found). The book is a little hard to read. Parts where I was aware of what he was trying to communicate seemed to be extremely articulate. Parts which were new avenues of thought I found hard to read, but leave me hopeful that I'll understand as my own thinking and observations mature.

How even French people suffered through this is impossible to fathom.

Can't recommend this printed edition
The "Publisher : Critical Editions (1 May 2021)" edition is a flimsy print-on-demand copy. I will be returning it.
