My pump is only .07hp. if the pump isn't strong enough to use with this vacuum can i use the vacuum manually instead?

this vacuum is merely a pool pole attachment that is designed to receive a hose. This will need to be attached to a suction side of your pool plumbing by way of greater than 1 inch corrugated pool hose. It has clear rubberized plastic wheels and is wider than my foot is long, The pool that I am familiar with has a 2 speed pump and runs on low speed (1/3hp or 0.33hp) and it works decently. The pool has 2 skimmers and we close one of the valves and attach the hose into the other skimmer while vacuuming. (we pull out the basket and feed the hose into the hole at the bottom of the skimmer)

Can it move smoothly with high pressure from pump?

yes. I have a 1 1/2 hp pump and I have no problems

Will this work with the same hose that connects to the Polaris?

How will this model hold up in a salt water pool? Are all the nuts, bolts etc stainless?

I have been using this in my saltwater hot tub and saltwater inground pool for all of last season. So far there has been no indication of a reaction of the salt on the metal surfaces, like pitting and rusting as this happened on some of the cheaper models I have purchased over the years. This item is much heavier than the others I have used in the past, I would say all of the metal components are stainless steel. I have found out after using the vacuum head I rinse it off with clear water from the hose this will absolutely extend the life of this unit.
