Smart Bulb Connects Easily to 5Ghz Wi-Fi
This review is for the WiZ Colour [B22 Bayonet Cap] Smart Bulb.....Firstly, at £9.99 (and that is reduced for Prime Day 2023) it is most certainly not the best value for a single bulb - HOWEVER - I am delighted with it for two other reasons!I have in the past had several different smart bulbs, but this is the ONLY one I have come across, that connects and works with on 5Ghz WiFi (all the rest only operated on 2.4Ghz). When setting-up, the default is 2.4Ghz BUT there is a clear option to 'CONNECT MANUALLY' to 5Ghz - which is just as easy! And the Second reason why I am writing this review, is that the whole set-up process is brilliantly simple! Far easier than the plethora of other smart bulbs! It literally is 'Plug-N-Play!The iPhone app (I'm using v1 but I understand that v2 is now available) contains a huge selection of interesting colour presets - plus the ability to add loads of Customised ones! I would however say that the (v1) user interface could be more appealing & easier to navigate (maybe that is what v2 is). Finally, It also connects extremely easily to your Alexa devices.

Good cost/benefit, easy to setup and brighter than expected.
Installing the lamp was very easy, turns on/off just like a regular lamp using the switch - so, no issues. Then, to setup the app and Alexa integration could be tricky for some people, specially the ones that aren't a little bit tech-savvy.But, if you follow the instructions, you could get it done in 5 to 10 minutes with some bumps along the way. Make sure the Lamp & Alexa are connected to a 2.4ghz Wi-Fi network and you wont have any issues.Sometimes, the voice activation through Alexa can have a 2/3 seconds delay to control the lamp, but with the WiZ app, the delay is almost seamless.Up to now, I'm very happy with the product. Brighter than expected with "warm and cool light" configuration, actually brighter than the regular lamp I was using before. So that was a really nice surprise.WiZ app have loads of cool presets - the "Fireplace" is my favourite so far!

Great
Good value for money. This was an added addition to our other Wiz lightbulbs.Works perfectly with Alexa. Easy to set via apps - Wiz app for additional control - and Alexa to voice control.Variety colours available, brightness and dim.

Motion control is flawed and overrated
While I do like these light bulbs, they were easy to install, easy to integrate with Google and Alexa and function well most of time, but the motion dictation or SPACESENSE as it called is definitely flawed in design and overrated, so after played a few time I decided to turn the motion dictation function off as it's never worked as intended. Also the colours changing while it was fun when tested it but in general was quite underwhelming, so will buy the dimmable white ones next time.

I love lamp
Easy to set up, I've got a couple installed throughout the house now and each time I've added a new lamp to the app it has connected without issue. The Wiz app is user friendly, lots of presets as well as options to choose your own colour setting. Yes it's a luxury item but then so were energy saving bulbs when they first came out. Its a thumbs up from me.

Get one and you'll be hooked
After buying a set of 4 for my lounge, I had to put some in the bedroom too.The "WiZ" app to control the lights is great, has all sorts of pulsing colours and flickering shades, allowing for all kinds of atmospheric moods.Just don't bother getting the "WiZ 2" app. The first one still continues to work and has much better functionality.

Will not stay connected!
I have been using WIZ white lamps in my home for the last 2 years and have found them very easy to set up and program using the WIZ app. But this is my first colour changing WIZ lamp, and it works far better than others I have tried. The main reason I wanted a colour lamp is for it to mimic the light from a TV. If you have the WIZ app and lamp, you just have to select DIWALI in the colour option settings and alter the speed and brightness. It will produce a random changing colour/speed/brightness pattern. When viewed through a curtain at night, it looks like someone is at home watching TV. And of course, you can program this to start and stop whatever time you like.January 2023Have now had to send back two of these colour lamps. Both started to just disconnect at random after about a week or two. The last few days of use, they would just disconnect once or twice a day!I had even moved my router, changed channels, software update and full delete and reinstall of app and lamps. Nothing!!! Yet swapping them out with my older, white Wiz lamps, and they would work just fine.Even tried a different network, and an access point extender, and that made no difference.I just had to give up!Possibly both lamps from a bad batch and I was jus unlucky, but, I have many smart devices and never had such a struggle with any of them.If Wiz would like to send me out another one of these bulbs to try, then it may change my mind about buying or recommending Wiz products in the future.Sorry Wiz - I can only give 1 star for this bulb.Just purchased one of these from a popular high street store, and found that the box and the lamp are both marked as Philips Wiz. They are just a little more expensive, but I had to give it a try, as all my other lighting is Wiz and works without fault!Setup is just the same, but the lamp just seems to respond faster!!!! A number of days on, and I have not had any connection problems at all. Even moving the lamp to the garage, and a few walls for the Wi-Fi to get through, has been no problem.Think I know where I will be getting my next bulbs from
