Great with synths, too
While marketed as a drum amp, I bought this for my on-stage keyboard rig, fed from the output of a Roland KC-110 amp/mixer that's wonderful at home but realistically not loud enough for live. I can't say how flat the response of the Alesis is - doubtless it's optimised for drums. But since synths put out a mix of low-frequency bass transients and highs it seemed like a good idea. Have only done one small gig (100+ capacity) so far, but it did a great job. Why so few reviews for this excellent package that's remarkably good value?

I got a really good deal on this amp through amazon
I got a really good deal on this amp through amazon. I was debating between the Alesis Trans 400 and the Simmons 200 and the Kat 200. I got a bonus savings through amazon of 17 % off because i bought it on black friday and then free shipping and then $30.00 off if i opened a credit card through amazon so i did. I got this amp for $275.00 and think that i stole it from them. I couldnt be happier with it. It has great sound and you can hook amps together with it. I have it hooked up to a set of roland TD4S Electric drums and I love it. I couldnt be happier. Thanks Amazon.
