I live in Arizona and have Bermuda hybrid grass similar to What’s in Chase Field I have two 120 pound dogs that love to go to the bathroom in the exact same spot so it’s almost impossible to keep the burn spots off of my grass. I use this product to cover up spots when guests are coming I just use it, so I’m not really too worried about the longevity as for me this is for when people come over for the weekend or the evening just to touch up the lawn to look at the lawn by 2000 and looks absolutely beautiful Make sure you’re wearing gloves and you mix it over a trashcan cardboard box because this paint will stain and it’s tough to get off of linen and cotton wear crummy shoes. Don’t let your pets walk on it for at least 30 minutes

After having my lawn suffer from severe winter burn in 2023, I decided to try this out to see if it could help protect if for 2024.Application: Using any lawn sprayer (battery or pump) with a fan tip applies it very simply. Use a piece of cardboard around the edges to prevent getting it on your pavement. You may need to adjust the concentration rate depending on your grass type. I noticed that the spots of fine fescue in my yard were much greener than the tall fescue that predominately makes up the rest of my yard. The 8000 sq ft coverage claimed on the 32 ounce bottle is likely going to be a stretch, and is my only complaint. This will depend on your grass type. On tall fescue you may only get about 4k sq ft.Longevity: The grass paint lasted into the end of February for me. For the majority of the winter, my yard was noticeably greener than my neighbors.Protection against winter burn: Now that it is March 2024, the winter burn is minimal. We had a similar cold spell in 2024 as we did in 2023.Overall, it works well. The only thing I would like to see is concentration rates per gallon of water listed per grass type.

Works good… covered my turf nicely and looked great. Not sure how long it will last but I’m happy with the result! Easy to apply just don’t over mix it.

We moved into a house recently, well be redoing the backyard in a year or so. But in the meantime, the lawn goes totally dormant in the winter. Like totally brown, no hint of green at all on most of it.I thought I’d give this paint a try, hopefully make it a little more pleasant to look at all winter.I was very pleasantly surprised! It made what essentially looked like a dirt lot into something that looks like a lawn.These pictures aren’t great, it makes it look a little streaky, but when it dried that went away completely. It looks totally natural. No, my application doesn’t look like a fully beautiful, thick lush green lawn. But, I was starting from completely brown, very patchy grass. Also I only did one coat, not too heavy (a second coat would make it much darker).How long it will last, I’ll see. If I can get a couple months, I’ll be very pleased and reapply it.Obviously, you have to have some grass to paint. It does nothing to dirt.I note it is a water based paint, so cleanup is easy. It might stain clothes (idk), but you don’t need to wear gloves, it cleans up with soap and water.My only gripe is it’s a bit expensive. No horribly so, but would be nice if it were a little less. But that’s not a major complaint, I’m happy so far even at the price.I’ll update in a couple months.

I've used other brands to touch up dry spots in my yard that worked great & stayed for a long time. For some reason, I believe this created more brown spots on my lawn where I sprayed.

Messy and won't work with at least some sprayers...really just a disaster.The suggested mixture ratio won't work with at least some sprayers, and may clog your sprayer, and ultimately require you to throw it out and get a new one.Thus may also stain your house and driveway, which could lead to A LOT of water time and / or money pressure washing your property.Just pass on this.Get an already mixed and ready to spray product that comes in a can that you can dispose of after using it. That will save you a lot of time and heartache.

Now if you spent the money and time to get your yard in tip top shape, that’s awesome! For those that just let their lawn go during the summer to save on a huge water bill, and want to have a nice green lawn, this is the one for you! I put this bad boy to work in a brand new battery operated sprayer. It works wonders I tell you. I made the color a bit light at first since I was trying to figure out how much it would turn the yard green. Well first round was a bit too light so on the future rounds I put more and more until I got to a color that I liked. Oh man I wish I took before and after pictures because it was night and day I tell you. My front yard looks pretty darn good now haha. Overall very happy with my purchase.

I followed the instructions and mixed the solution and I found it had no affect on the grass. I made another batch less diluted and it started to paint the grass lightly, turning it from brown to watered down green. I made a third gallon and seems to hit the jackpot and getting the right mixture. I redid the same areas and looked pretty good. However, 2 things. 1. I got less than a quarter of my yard done with the 32 oz bottle. I woukd have had to buy 2 or 3 more to get the job done effectively. The bottle says about 1250 sq feet with dead grass. Not true. I only had about 800 square feet to cover and based on the recommendations of the bottle, i felt Petra misled us in wasting about 20 oz this grass paint in order to buy more to complete the job. To me that seems unethical. 2. It already started to fade the next morning.Overall, it didn't work for me. It seems to do wonders for other but it was way to expensive to paint my lawn with this. Adding to the fact it started to fade the next morning, I am glad I didn't order more.UPDATE. Jen from Petra via Facebook contacted me and offered me a free bottle. Now that I know the proper ration, I hope I will have a better outcome.

J'étais septique d'acheter ce produit car je croyais que la couleur ne serait pas identique à celle de la pelouse. J'ai utilisé la dilution recommandée soit une partie du produit et 10 parties d'eau. Le résultat est incroyable. La couleur est parfaite. Je l'ai également utilisé sur des cèdres décoratif qui avait des feuilles brunes. Les cèdres sont maintenant complètement vert.

Wasn't really optimistic but I though for 40 bucks it was worth a try. I'm impressed. As long as it doesn't kill the hedge I'll be very happy.

I like it! my husband hates it and thinks it looks fake. I'm just glad my grass isn't brown anymore. didn't have enough to finish so if you think you need 1 container, buy 2.

I wish I had thought to take a before/after picture. I bought this to colour-in some juniper bushes that have been undergoing rather significant browning this year (as in, some branches looked almost fully dead). I mixed the paint at a low(ish) concentration thinking to test the colour and apply multiple light coats to increase my control over the application. Wow did this ever work well! Even standing right close to the trees, if you are not staring at them and trying to find a difference, you'd never notice a thing.I will say that I stupidly forgot to put down a drop cloth and suffered a small bit of overspray on the pebble pathway nearby, but I'm confident that it will fade in time. That mistake was on me, not the product.Additionally, when I had occasion to reach out to the company, I received excellent customer service. Jen was quick to respond, she kept me "in the loop" during the process, and both she and PetraTools were able to provide a swift and complete solution. Thanks Jen, much appreciated!
